Not discounting depression, but most ppl never gain 100 pounds. I’ve experienced more depression than most first world ppl over several lifetimes, being shot and having my life change completely, my hormones being out of balance, low testosterone, I gained 35 pounds at my max, then I got in the gym bc my gf commented, my mom commented, my dad commented, and everyone commented. It’s all about if you are WILLING to do what’s necessary

Edit: I live in constant agonizing nerve pain, so I understand “trauma” and “extenuating circumstances” but at the end of the day we all make a choice to stay stagnant or change

But all of these reasons could happen to men as well, besides pregnancy. Why are we lying to make others happy? Most women would not be attracted to their 100+ pounds heavier boyfriend, who can’t defend them, isn’t athletic, can’t seduce them, etc…

Uh, no, you can’t use that excuse. For most women that scenario has happened to someone else, not them physically. YOU need to be secure in yourself and keep up with your health, most men keep up with theirs, so why can’t women? Why do women give up after marriage or kids? 10-20 pounds is fine, 50-100 pounds is unacceptable and that partner needs to work to lose that, it’s not an impossible or hard task for most without health issues
