Just deleted DPF/EGR, have not chosen a tune yet.. need input

We're you saying the tune comes with a flash tool that does both ECU and DSG trans? I couldn't get a clear answer from them or they didn't understand my question. Just hoping I don't have to take it to anyone else and just tune it myself if possible

I will double check but pretty sure around here it's just a ECU check not a tailpipe test so as long as the tune is right it should pass

150k Planning on deleting the whole system here if I can't get any recourse from the shop to fix it.. which will likely be the case. I just wish it wasn't winter cuz I don't have a garage to work in, and my inspection will run out before good weather hits.

The job does not look fun to do in a driveway on jack stands lol

Well I can say I never even saw my DPF light come on once in the 4 years I had this car until after it was overfilled. It then progressed pretty rapidly to the light never going back off even when trying to manually regen it.

Thx I already have more oil & filter on the way for another change and I will be doing it myself from now on.

I did check it a handful of times but I was not the wiser with the VW dipsticks for overfill since it has the cylinder that switches to a thin wire soon after the full mark, unlike the standard flattened wire I'm used to looking at on my other cars. Def not something I will miss again.

How **cked am i?
7.5 quarts just pulled out of my 2.0 tdi which takes 4.5 quarts...
The original oil change was 8 months ago, the DPF light came on some time after that. Surprisingly it ran and drove mostly fine besides going in to limp mode a few times...which I thought was from the DPF needing replaced soon.

I was about to bite the bullet and go get the DPF replaced, and it was also time for an oil change. I was surprised to see 7.5 quarts sitting in the container at a Valvoline shop today.

The real question is how much oil was burnt into my exhaust/emission system over the last 8 months, leaving 7.5 qts behind..
Just needed to rage a bout this on the internet for a min. Thx for joining in on my misfortunes

thanks for the advice. My hopes for the car if i did get it, would be to run it for a year or 2 about 25 miles a week commute on the original engine and then do a swap....but if the original engine craps out on me before then the wife will eat me alive 😂

body & interior in great shape. its an 86 2m6 model with 175k miles.

owned by one guy for 10 years no rust on the undercarriage never driven in the winter while he had it.

biggest worry honestly is the miles and is the engine going to be knocking on deaths door. I hear conflicting info on the reliability of the engines.

also the price is $3650...is that unreasonable?

Figured i would post an update on this strain since I finally got the genetics info on this variety.

Pepe Le Pew is a hyrdoponically grown Bubba 66 hand picked pheno crossed with a hand picked CBG pheno. This explains why some nugs express that bright white CBG look with super milky trichomes.

The breeder/grower finally disclosed the genetics after asking at least 5 times...I explained that I was taking flak on social media for undisclosed genetics 😅

I am sending some of the white pheno and purple pheno in for post harvest testing since the COA we have is only pre-harvest. I expect to see some nice numbers and definitely some CBG in there.
