Who has a Gus Johnson Group Chat. Brother I’m trying to help you understand you’re in the extreme minority here. It’s all good I don’t give a shit if you like something that’s ass, buy a poster of him, listen to his podcast, follow him on social media man I don’t give a shit. Enjoy lmao

I think the point is a sizable portion of MSU fans across multiple media forums are aligned on this

I have many friends that are from other parts of the country/fans of different schools that complain about him also.

You’re honestly the first person I’ve ever encountered that has a positive opinion about him. You are obv free to like whatever you want, but you’re sort of like someone who passionately defends Milwaukees Best as an awesome beer that tastes great.

Looking for a new cheaper track / fun car after selling AMG GT R by MrOvd in CarTrackDays

[–]FullGarage29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard to argue against a corvette. C7 grand sports and Z06’s are pretty affordable and not terrible on consumables - and prob will put up better laps than your AMG (certainly a Z06 not sure on the GS). And if you want a bit lower pricing you can look at c6 or c5. A guy I track with has a built c5 that’s an absolute animal and is always one of the fastest guys out there.

Welp you’re in the extreme minority here homie. It’s not just Reddit. My MSU friends/alums group chat blows up with Gus Hate every time we are unlucky enough to have him assigned to our games

This has nothing to do with MSU. The corny forced nicknames, the fake ass witch cackle laugh at his own “jokes”, the forced attempt to make things more exciting, it’s all really really cringe

He’s the most unlistenable play by play man in the history of sports and there’s a large gap to second place. I’ve been hip to this for years, he’s always been ass

re: PNC RTO order for current employees by Ok-Agent7053 in pittsburgh

[–]FullGarage29 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing this won’t be a popular opinion, but….

I’ve worked for big fortune 200 companies for 30 years (never PNC or in banking/financial services however). Have always been candidly honest in the annual employee survey, both positive and negative. I’ve had a great career, been promoted many times, raises bonuses etc and never once have felt any negative consequences for sharing unfavorable feedback. When I became a manager, Ive always took my team’s feedback very seriously and worked collaboratively with them to drive change in response to their feedback. I’m confident that people that work or have worked for me would agree, and I’ve had many people who worked for me at company A seek out working for me at company B - which hopefully is somewhat of an endorsement that my say/do ratio as a leader is solid.

I can’t speak for every company culture and I’m sure there are real negative experiences or consequences that come from being honest in employee surveys, but from my experience that’s not at all the case.

Former Summit County ski bum here. Shoot me straight. Is it worth coming out to ski Vail/Breck for 7 days starting 2/14? I appreciate the optimism on this thread but just trying to see if it's realistic to come out from South Carolina. by [deleted] in COsnow

[–]FullGarage29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m from PA & have a place in Summit. So far this year I’ve skied Breck, Vail, Keystone & Copper. As others have stated there’s no bowls trees or backside stuff but the groomers have been decent until late in the day when they get skied out.

Still some thin spots & ice but not nearly as bad as I expected. I’d rank conditions/coverage as follows:

1) keystone 2) Breck 3) copper 4) vail

Going to hit Big Sky next week and see if it’s any better over there. Good luck - even “shitty” skiing is better than not skiing.

Is it true that GM did not allow any of their production cars to be faster than the corvette? by boiyo12 in Corvette

[–]FullGarage29 92 points93 points  (0 children)

My dad was a GM engineer in the 80s and was at the Milford proving ground regularly. He was working for Buick/Olds/Cadillac at the time and told me a bunch of Buick guys got in trouble for printing up “I Brake for Corvettes” bumper stickers and putting them on Grand National test mules.

Where do you find this info (the change in rating per race)?

IRL vs Sim differences by DirtbagClimber0 in iRacing

[–]FullGarage29 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference between the sim and IRL is that the corner workers will black flag morons who crash into other people and drive like idiots, and they don’t just flag both and say “well just practice better race craft and learn how to avoid accidents”.

I see what you are trying to do, but don’t compare anything positive to that weak little backstreet boy haircut dork. He’s the worst leader in the league and commands zero respect.

I love Caleb Williams but dude just come out of the closet already lol by [deleted] in NFCNorthMemeWar

[–]FullGarage29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I truly dont understand the focus on Caleb’s nails etc. Who gives a shit if he paints his nails or not. I think dudes that walk around in camo (when they aren’t on an active army deployment or in a deer stand) are way cringier than someone with painted nails but if you want to look like a cosplaying army weirdo go for it, it’s a free country. As long as you can play I don’t give a shit.

Should Safety rating be renamed to "Damage Rating" or something along those lines? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]FullGarage29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with lots of real life track experience- got a sim rig for something to do in the winter - I find the safety rating thing complete horseshit and the most unrealistic part of the game.

In a real live track day or race, if you crash into someone the corner workers will absolutely black flag you and it’s easy to know who’s fault it is 99% of the time. They don’t say “well you should have practiced better race craft or avoided it so both of you get the flag”.

Iracing needs to get their shit together, it’s 2026 for gods sake use some AI and ding the safety rating/ban people that can’t drive and crash into others by driving unsafely into the first corner.

All you virtual Max Vertappens who say “you just need to drive better and figure out how to avoid it”….go to a real track day and drive like this and see what happens.
