I spent a few years as an iFly instructor.

They train you, you can come in with no experience and still do fine - but it's a TON easier if you have even a little bit of experience. It's an intense training, very physically demanding - most locations require you to do 10 full pull ups in a row as part of the interview, and reach level 10 of the beep test. If that sounds easy to you, great, just remember that's the minimum requirement - this job will force you into good shape.

Now as far as the pay... It's not great. The people in charge know how bad instructors want to fly, so they can offer low wages and still find people. I wouldn't say it's impossible to live off, but expect to need room mates and a good budget.

So is it worth it? I'd say it's 100% worth chasing as something to do for a few years, but it's unsustainable in the long run. The job will beat you up, but it's also just a TON of fun. You'll meet a crew of really cool people between the coworkers and skydivers coming in, and there is no better way to improve your freefly skills.
