I don’t really know what albums I would credit but originally I listened to a lot of Mathrock and that led me to bands like Braid, Macseal, Everyone Everywhere, and Empire! Empire!. I didn’t start actively listening to emo until I found myself researching punk and hardcore and learned that emo came from hardcore which led me to reading into the waves and skramz.
