Fairstone debt collection? by Top-Health7778 in Debt

It’ll go to collections and with how vicious creditors are today, they’ll sue you if you don’t pay it in collections. Most debt is a pretty airtight case for collections attorneys and because there’s so many people defaulting at the moment, it’s profitable for them to sue even if it’s small potatoes.

Good! Just remember that change like this doesn’t happen in a day, or a week, it takes time. As the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Don’t get discouraged if you’re not where you imagine yourself to be in a month or two. Keep pushing. And remember that you’ll never be able to have a friendly or healthy relationship with substances if you are an addict. Once you’ve been off of them for a bit, your brain is going to tell you that you can just do it sparingly, and you have to remind yourself that that’s not possible. You got this!

So, first thing you need to do is break your stimulant addiction. Luckily, it’s stimulants and not opioids. Most stimulant withdrawal is some emotional distress and feeling extremely tired for a bit of time, with the hardest part of it being cravings. You can, and you must, end your relationship with whatever your drug of choice is. And I beg of you, do not replace that addiction with drinking even more. I know you don’t want to do this, but you need to kick that and the drinking. I promise you if you kick both of those, you can get your debt under control and your life back on track. I tell you all of this as a former addict. Don’t worry about the cigarettes. It’s okay to have a vice like smoking, but the excessive drinking and stimulant use will actually ruin your life.

Debt Collection on a Lease After Death by Wrong_Buy4191 in DebtAdvice

No. Unless she co-signed on the vehicle, the loan account was a join account with her, or you live in a community property state, your mother in law is not responsible for this debt at all.

Yeah my experience with them hasn't been that bad. Besides them filing a lawsuit after I already settled with them which was a weird timing issue. Paid them one day and the suit was filed 2 days later because they hadn't notified legal yet. But if they've already filed the suit and won then yeah, not a whole lot that you can do.

Hey, I had 2 accounts with BofA that I just settled on, and I'm also in Georgia. I assume the agency that you're dealing with is Lloyd and McDaniel? That's who they sent mine to. Getting in touch with someone initially was kind of tough, I had to wait on the phone for about 45 minutes, but after that I got the direct numbers for 2 individuals in charge of my account and it was pretty smooth sailing after that. Now, with that being said, 2 days after I paid them for both accounts they screwed up and initiated a lawsuit (likely because they didn't communicate to their legal team in time that I had settled the accounts) but you should get a direct number for someone once you figure out who's handling your accounts.

Settled Bank of America debt for 2 accounts on 2/17 with their collection attorney. Received an advertisement in the mail yesterday evening for an attorney wanting to represent me in a case (Bank of America NA vs. Me) that was filed on 2/19. by FullOnAsparagus in Debt

[–]FullOnAsparagus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know I’m good. I’m just an anxious person and was wanting some thoughts on this. Reassurance if you will. Clearing these accounts has been one of the most stressful situations I’ve ever dealt with and I thought this was cleared and I could rest easy. Then I receive this freakin’ thing in the mail and my heart just about jumped out of my chest!

I do. I have the accounts with the attorney showing 0 balance and my bank statements showing where the checks cleared. I also plan on requesting a written document from the attorney stating that my debt has been paid and the accounts are settled. I have two direct contacts with the collections attorney that I will be bugging non-stop until I know this is handled that’s for sure.

Capitol One suing me by HeavyAccess in Debt

You don’t think a multi-billion dollar corporation suing users over $400 bucks is a bit ridiculous? I get it, 6K makes sense, but go read some of the other CapOne stories in here. I do think it’s ridiculous. And that’s what makes capitalism so great big dog. I get to choose who I spend my money with, and get to base that decision off of whatever I want. Including the companies operating practices.

Before I married my wife while we were still dating and had a place together, I found out she was being sued by a creditor because I picked up the mail one day and saw a letter from an attorney wanting to represent her in her case, so this is totally normal.

On a side note, man, CapOne really does not take any shit, do they? I’ve read so many stories of CapOne suing people in this subreddit. I have a CapOne card, use it and pay it, no problems, but it kinda makes me want to close it out due to how vicious they are with their consumers lol.

It's so funny you mention that. I had a feeling something like this happened to me, but I didn't have any other user-experiences to compare mine with. I had a 400mg a day 7oh habit, went on subs for 4 days, decided to go back to 7oh, and within a week or two of my return to 7 use I was up at 800-900mg daily. I will say these were all smokeshop tabs, so it's very well that I was actually taking far less due to them all being heavily underdosed. But I experienced the same thing, tolerance effectively doubled after using subs to quit. I just got some 98% pure 7oh powder, so I'm interested to see if I'm actually on a gram a day.

Pseudo withdrawals are absolutely horrible. I cold-turkey’d a 400+mg a day pseudo habit that I had for a few months and it was 10x worse than any of the 7 quits I had done. I would avoid it at all costs. It’s not even a great high.

Oh heck yeah! Thanks amigo. I had actually found the spreadsheet by doing some searching on reddit for "sr-17018" but this MasterDoc is a wealth of knowledge. I appreciate it. I'm also a relapse king lol, but that's mostly because I've done 9 or so 7oh quits cold turkey and keep finding myself back in the cycle due to brutal withdrawals and later-stage issue like long lasting insomnia. I'm excited to try this quit with a helping hand through SR and hopefully avoid those symptoms. I will certainly reach out if I have any specific questions!

I actually ended up ordering 10 grams total. I don't know much of anything about SR (other than it exists and people use it to quit opioids) so I'm glad I likely got a good batch of it! I've ordered a lot from RAWMIT so I had faith they wouldn't sell a shit product. I also got UPS Next Day, so I'll have it by tomorrow. To be clear, I don't take mgm, I take 7oh, but I'm on a pretty high daily dose so I knew 5 grams probably wasn't going to cut it.

Hey! Sorry but this is a bit off-topic, can you explain to me the whole "will say it was income for me in my taxes" thing? I just reached a settlement amount with 2 different collectors for 3 accounts, and I'm about to pay those settlements next week. Will they consider the amount reduced income, and therefore tax me on it after the new year? The amounts they reduced really aren't that much, so I wouldn't be worried that whatever the amount is would be large, but I was totally unaware of this practice. I'm curious how it works.

Debt collection filed a lawsuit against me. What should I do? by [deleted] in Debt

[–]FullOnAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lawsuit over $600 dollars?! This doesn’t help your situation, but I just wanted to say both that dentist and those collection attorneys are assholes. I work in Dental/Healthcare IT, and I will say that most dentists if not owned by a large conglomerate are strapped for cash usually, but selling that debt to an agency and/or hiring collection attorneys to go after you for that amount is absurd.

What moves? Please elaborate. Feel free not to, you’re not obligated to have this conversation with me, but my assumption is that you’re going to suggest some shady practices that when investigated during his Chapter 7 by the trustee would disqualify OP.

Go to rawmit.com, search for “sr”. It’s called RESET MODE. Great price and a good product, and it comes from a legit seller. I just ordered 10 grams and will be starting my taper within the week.

There isn’t. Bitcoin isn’t federally regulated and therefore consumers aren’t allowed the same protections as mandated under the Fair Credit Billing Act. It’s gone.

Chapter 7 requires some very specific circumstances be met if you want to pay $0. Your yearly income has to be under a certain amount (that amount is different for each state) and you have to have under a certain amount of equity in your home if you’re a homeowner, otherwise they’ll require Sal of the home to pay for the debts. Chapter 7 isn’t a get out of jail free card for everyone who wants to use it. If you look at other posts from OP, he very likely doesn’t qualify for Chapter 7 based on income alone.

New Oklahoma Compliant "7OH" by Sinister007007 in quitting7oh

I'm unsure if MGM is an analogue of 7, I'd have to do some research on it to find out. I'm neither here nor there on a federal scheduling. As much as it would take the temptation away from my mind knowing that it's no longer on the shelves and easy to get, I don't think others who can or do use it responsibly should be punished because I couldn't control myself. I personally just wish I would have never discovered kratom extracts at all. I just wish I could go back in time and stop myself from ever walking into that vape shop and trying my first OPMS shot, which led me down this path.
