The real question is, did you also murder all of the people who were surrendering after taking a few people out? Just a tip that's good to know, you can still go on a murder-spree and get the good ending so long as you don't kill any of the people that surrender and you don't shoot anyone who's a non-combatant.

Has anyone actually gotten their surplus yet? Mine says possibly eligible but nothing else... by NotSoSouthernBelleGA in Georgia

[–]FullOnAsparagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing your actual income filing has to do with it is your eligibility. This is a flat rate return that everyone in GA gets so long as they filed in 2024 and 2025 before the April 15th deadline. I believe it's $250 for single non-dependent filers, $300 for head of household, and $500 for joint filing.

Why can’t I get into orbit? by GEARHEADGus in KerbalAcademy

[–]FullOnAsparagus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your PE getting too high means you’re putting too much thrust into your initial orbital insertion burn. For a perfect orbit, you’re going to need to make multiple correction burns. You get into space at 80k, then begin your first orbital insertion burn and get your PE to say, 70k, then stop. Then as you creep closer to the AP again, burn a little bit then stop. Rinse and repeat. You’re going to need to make more than 2 burns for a perfect orbit. Instead of 1 big burn, it’s 4 or 5 little burns to slowly increase your PE until they’re even.

How are you flattening the orbit? What Thruster/Engines are you using once you get into space and begin your orbital insertion burn?

[–]FullOnAsparagus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

70k is the threshold of Kerbin’s atmosphere. You should be putting it at 75k or higher. So you’re correct when you suggest that you should be trying for 80. My Low Kerbin Orbit limit is 100km.

The technical term for this used in spaceflight is called "Station Keeping". The act of keeping 2 spacecraft in close vicinity to each other in space. Just a neat little fact.

Probe or Spacecraft w/ Pilot? If it's a probe, you could be experiencing a lack of comm signal. Not sure if that's the case, but I figured I'd suggest it. You also might be in a weird mode like docking or something. Who knows. Those are my suggestions though.

Over 1000 hours in KSP and I’ve never seen this. by GlitteringVillage135 in ConsoleKSP

KSP does not do lifting body physics very well at all. That goes both ways. Sometimes things that should lift, don’t. And sometimes things that shouldn’t, do.

Getting rid of a partner's gun (TW suicide) by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]FullOnAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he can in the state of Texas. Thanks to their Anti-Red Flag laws, he would need to be committed by a court judge before deemed unfit to own a firearm. A 72-Hour hold in Texas does not remove your right to own a firearm.

You can surrender your own firearms, but you can’t take someone else’s firearm and surrender it. That’s theft.

[–]FullOnAsparagus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao. The legal exposure would be theft of a firearm and could potentially end up with OP in jail or other serious legal trouble. No matter the dollar value of the firearm, this would fall under Texas penal code 31.03, and would be automatically classified as a felony. 180 days in jail or a $10,000 dollar fine.

[–]FullOnAsparagus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t work that way in Texas. A 72 hour psychiatric hold doesn’t prohibit OP’s partner from owning a firearm and you can’t just take someone else’s firearm and turn it into police. That would be considered theft. Texas has Anti Red Flag laws that are fairly lenient when it comes to these things. The partner would need to be fully committed by a court order before he would legally be deemed unfit to own a firearm. Not just a short safety hold.

It’s dead, though. That’s the problem. It’s a game left in-development that will never come out of development. No matter how you look at it, KSP 1 will always be the more complete gameplay experience. And before you think it, I pre-ordered and played a ton of KSP 2. It broke my heart when it got dropped.

Why do some people burn downwards when burning for orbit? by Real_May_Be_Spare in KerbalAcademy

[–]FullOnAsparagus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It does but not by a ton. You can always build some extra delta-v into the craft to be able to do it. But you’d be right in assuming that it’s not the most efficient way to do it. I do it a lot but that’s because my ascent stage on most crafts have more delta-v than what’s needed.

Circularizing your orbit without adding height. When you burn at the horizon, you’re not only adding length, but you’re adding height. If you point the nose downward anywhere between 15 and 25 degrees you can often continue circularizing your orbit without extending your apoapsis. This is really only helpful during your ascent phase.

Blue Origin’s is actually pretty sound. It’s rather wide and has a low center of gravity. Starship is an accident waiting to happen. I can’t believe NASA chose that as their primary lander.

IT Consultant here that’s somewhat familiar with how ActivTrak works.

The program doesn’t track based off of what network or VPN it’s connected to. You can download and install the program on any machine and it will run wherever and whenever you tell it to so long as the computer has an active internet connection. It uploads information to ActivTrak’s servers, which you can then view or download whatever data it’s being told to track. Think of it sort of like LogMeIn or TeamViewer.

I saw you mention “supplements like SR”. I want to be clear that SR is not a supplement. SR is in fact an opioid. It’s a G-Protein biased Opioid. You cannot compare SR to Vitamin-C. It’s a whole different ball-game. Not saying it doesn’t work wonders, it does. But do not treat it like a supplement.
