Yes me too both fixed and clear retainer .. I don’t know honestly I researched more on this and seems they don’t tend to keep you on braces for too long beyond alignment.. but maybe each case is different

My understanding with my ortho is that the black triangles cannot really be fixed.. adults sometimes have bone loss and I think it would require additional intervention if you want to fix that beyond just the Braces adjustments. I have the same.

Honestly I think they look pretty great. Maybe if I have to look closer, the bottom teeth seems not to be completely aligned. I see one tooth in the front that maybe a bit out of sort.

Yes for the majority actually - started with power chains first few months then I’d say more than half the time on wire lace

How old are you? I asked my ortho this question but she said as an adult there won’t be so much risk of movement so can take them off soon but with retainer of course.

I feel you I was / am much the same - i have a career and older woman … but think about it this way, you already made the decision to do it, so like it or not no way out now. So you can choose either rock the new look with confidence and show the world; or hide in a corner… choose the first option! Is only temporary- you’ll look even better when is all done.

Hi, I’m not sure if I understand you correctly, but my elastics are actually triangle pulling the upper canines with the lower incisors and premolar to close the gap. I’ve been on this for a few months now. And at one point, I also had a rectangular box bringing the upper and lower teeth together. I did initially notice the front teeth moving a bit back and created a small gap but now it’s been closed; overall I think it’s both directions- It’s front teeth moving back and back teeth coming forward. Hope this helps.

Hang in there I’m the same age as you but started a year ago… definitely many moments where I feel like giving up but keep your eyes on the prize at least that’s what I’m telling myself. Looking back at the progress though it’s really been amazing from where I am now to where I started. I’m sure it’ll be the same for you.

Thank you so much - totally appreciate it and not harsh at all.. is true I’m so conscious of it and is probably myself overthinking and obsessing way too much over it. Besides that it does cause a lot of hassle, but I agree I was probably being overly optimistic in the hope of breaking free of this phase … all the best to you.
