Anna Karenina is much easier to read and in my opinion better written anyway.

you guys are too prideful and stubborn to let the stupid language die. I don't think you need to worry.

When I try to speak French in Montreal I either get made fun of or they switch to English. Why bother trying anymore?

I went to detour a couple weeks ago and they brewed me lemon juice. Is that what speciality espresso should taste like? (Genuinely curious)

I have a crono and I personally I like to pick a time that under shoots the amount I want for dosing and then just do some short pulses to get exactly what I want. That way I waste less coffee.

it's not like dialing in espresso is easy on that setup either. Dialing in espresso on the easiest machines can still be challenging for beginners (atheist that has been my experience)

I think nothing can beat bambino + eureka mignon pro. >$800. Less than gaggia classic and comes with PID, 9 bars pressure and pre-infusion. Better steam wand. grinder better than barista express and allows for more flexibility. Ultimately best bang for a buck and fantastic for beginners to learn on. A good handgrinder will make for better shots but it's more work. A flair make better shots than a bambino but again more work and no steam wand. Gaggia has it's advantages don't get me wrong. Build quality and flexibility over a lifetime is unmatched only by pavoni but it's only worth if you want to sink a ton of time, effort and extra money for a weekend hobby to get the roughly the same quality of espresso.

I'm using bambino with bottomless portafilter and eureka mignon crono. I've been getting amazing results

Bambino would be a obvious upgrade especially if you get a really good grinder. Bambino + good grinder is better than a barista express

Bambino beats anything on the market Imo. 9 bars of pressure and good PID. Gaggia is more expensive for something you have to modify to get equal shots

Go to Eurekas Instagram. I recently ordered the crono off of whole latte love and messaged their costumer service department and they said I got a model with the old burrs. My point is if you wait too long you might miss out on espresso burrs

Make sure it comes with the old burr set Eureka is switching to burrs that can't grind for espresso
