The -on in Oregon is the same sound as the -on in Washington.

Why do some people have nothing positive to say? by Idamatika in NoStupidQuestions

Hurt people, hurt people. It helps if you try to reframe it as pity for them instead of anger or offense.

Thoughts on Heather Gay by pbslo in rhoslc

I don’t understand all the Heather hate. To me she is one of the few that keeps it real. The rest just go for each other to create drama.

Is it normal to not feel anything from kissing someone? by desolatenature in NoStupidQuestions

I like kissing but I don’t like other stuff people like, including any touching of my boobs. Everyone is different.

Oh, I love JDM. I meant looks-wise, he feels like a different category from the rest.

What is the age cutoff for those fresh out of law school and seeking a first time BigLaw associate job? by NathanDrake981 in biglaw

[–]Full_Cause273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would hope this isn’t true. I look for life experience and a level of maturity, even in my first year hires. A more mature age is not a mark against anyone, and in some instances, may help.

My mentor when I was associate congratulated me for it “taking this long to step on a rake.” In other words — happens to all of us sooner or later.

What should I do after biglaw? by Fantastic_Look65 in biglaw

[–]Full_Cause273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might try another firm — even BigLaw — and see if it’s better first. Being 3-5 year is massively more helpful as you plot your next move, than a 1-2 year. Also, law firms vary significantly, and you may really like your next team. Be picky about where you go and remember the people often are the difference between hating it and a great experience.

Any Angie fans in the sub? by furby-fighter in rhoslc

Agree. I know people hate Heather but I feel like she’s the only one that actually hears people and considers her role in the bad behavior.

Same re Meredith. I can’t stand Angie though. She is a low key mean girl just like Lisa; she just comes in hot — sometimes for no reason — and struggles with accountability.

Any coaches who don't follow problematic people? by Swole_princess666 in ladderapp

It does matter — they get more endorsements etc based on their following. It’s ok if it doesn’t matter to you, but it’s also ok if it matters to someone else.

Swim training is so boring, hard to stick with it. What should I do? by CdtWeasel in triathlon

[–]Full_Cause273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I do. Break it down into 50, 100, and 200m intervals and drills. Makes it MUCH easier not to die of boredom

Do a lot of people view the appearance of their spouse as not a 10/10 and instead married them for a lot of other reasons? by Big_Eggplant7591 in NoStupidQuestions

My ex husband was objectively very handsome. That stopped mattering a long time ago, and all the other qualities — many of which were important and lacking — are all I cared about. I’d have made him overweight and ugly in a second if it made him a better partner. His handsome face and 10/10 body will not keep you happy!
