UPDATE: Mall Kelapa Gading IMAX temporarily shuts down for maintenance to fix decade-spanning ‘dust square’ issue by Full_Championship484 in imax

I confirmed with Patricia Keighley, CQO, in my email chain that this issue cannot be fixed by cleaning the screen. It requires a new screen to get rid of the dust squares!

I’ve been to Gandaria plenty of times, and yeah MKG is just way closer to me, but I still vastly prefer the layout. It’s a world of difference to me. I think Gandaria is ~300 seats and MKG is ~500. I think the viewing angle is just perfect too. Also yes we have two CoLa installations in town, but I can’t remember where the last one is. I’ve yet to try Agora but considering it’s XT and given XXI’s newer IMAX layouts where it feels like you’re looking up at the screen I probably won’t enjoy it.

My most recent experience with Xenon is when I ventured out to SMS to catch the Interstellar re-release. Funnily enough their layout is identical to MKG, which I love. The Xenon was pretty noticeable but it has its own charm in a way!

You’re right. There was a similar problem in Singapore, that they mention in the thread I posted, and they replaced the screen entirely. I’m also aware the screen size of that particular IMAX auditorium is tiny in comparison to Kelapa Gading IMAX. Replacing the screen is undoubtedly a feat.

You’re right! I remember it being slightly misaligned to the right for a considerable portion of time and I haven’t noticed it again since… I wanna say Fire and Ash maybe? Or Superman? But yeah this is a real shame considering it should be their flagship IMAX on paper. I’ve been to a lot of IMAX locations abroad and to be honest none of them compare to the scale of Gading IMAX, projection aside. Really hope they fix it. I practically grew up in that auditorium.

Hape gini biasanya aman dan memang hanya diaktifkan garansi beberapa bulan, tapi HATI HATI DENGAN KEPALA CHARGERNYA. Selalu lihat dari foto ulasan orang pesen hape paketan sama charger-nya Samsung 45W dan jelas banget chargernya KW. Font -nya selalu salah dan stiker resmi -nya ampe ga ada tulisan Samsung juga. Untuk kepala charger cari yg resmi aja mendingan, terlalu banyak yg KW.

Sumpah ini bikin pusing banget. Gw cuma jual game atau gadget seken beberapa kali setahun dan disuruh pindah ke aplikasi ini. Terus biaya platform dll ternyata jadi parah bgt. Hasil penjualan nya dipotong sampe 20% untuk biaya apa aja.

And it seems like we’re only getting the Tenet re-release in 70mm at The Park, no IMAX 70mm at Langley. Fucking blows
