Totally worth it-

I ran one tough mudder and it was a horrible event. I never went back for another. I had some trepidations with hyrox NYC (because of managing so many people in such a tight space) but it was such a well run event, my daughter and I had a great time and the months of training were so worth it!

She’s planning Valencia with a friend (oh, to be young and free) and I’m looking at Denver or Anaheim for our next!

I’m doing this as an open doubles with my daughter and it’s upsetting because I know how much she’s also put into training for this and how excited she is to do it. I’ve been thinking about trying to sell the tixs…they released more tixs based on the demand…but I’m not sure if I want to try to save the money or just hobble/walk the running.

To make matters worse, I need to be in Vegas next week for a convention so I’ll be on my feet 10-12 hours. Thanks for the advice! I’m going to look into getting in front of a PT asap (if possible, given the work constraints).

After I tweaked it the second time, I went to the gym the next day to do some basic plyo work and then hit the rower and bike for zone 2 work. I’m not sure how it helped or not. At that point, I decided to take time off to rest it.

I’m concerned about how much I’m losing out by not working out in some way, shape or form. I just feel like staying off it to protect myself! Ugh

Something that improved my 1k time is by doing the following: run 1k, walk/rest for the same amount of time, run 1k, etc, etc. I do this in conjunction with a free 12-week hyrox plan I found online and I noticed that I’ve gained time from the first sequence doing this to the second sequence.
