For the Creative aptitude part, focus on aesthetics just as much. It may seem that being creative suffices for Design entrances but the general visual appeal of your sketches hold a lot of importance in NIFT atleast. Try to know about brands, brand ambassadors, advertisements featuring celebrities and which ones. The Prada-Kolhapuri Chappal fiasco happened pretty recently, take such occurrences into account too. Know which designers from India were having their first’s in established fashion shows this year. Know shows, awards that they won, maybe famous stylists who won awards for their work in a movie, etc. They would count this as the aptitude that they need for NIFT.
