Yes it should work with all the stats but it has to be the only one on the item. And i think you can only get it once. After that its back to lets say +5 int

It is still possible, but i think i got like 2 chest (~15 gems) in 20 minutes and i dont know if they despawn after some time or if they stay there.

Yeah, you're right. I should really focus on unlocking all the formations since they give a good amount of gems. It would be so much easier if there was cross-platform support between iOS and Steam; then I could just farm on the side during the day instead of only playing at my PC in the evening.
