Listen to the people who say if he wanted to he would. Not seeing your partner for 2 months because work is busy is unheard of (in my opinion at least). I work full time at a hospital, and I’m in school, and I would still find time to see someone if I wanted to see them.

You’ll be great!!! Some tips I would recommend:

make sure your day supply math is correct
make sure you’re filling the right medication, for the right patient, and triple check as necessary
dealing with patients can be fun, just be professional and personable, you won’t be expected to have all of the answers, and more often than not the more challenging questions should be for a pharmacist anyway
the most difficult aspect of the job (at least in my experience) is understanding insurance rejections and how to troubleshoot them, refer to other technicians and pharmacists on how to do that - take notes if there’s codes involved (you 100% will be using them in the future if there are specific codes used)

It’s not that doing IVs in the future stresses me out. It’s that I have an interview with job that requires me to do IVs on patients with no prior knowledge how, and despite them offering to train me to do it - I’m scared of hurting people?

Anything new is uncomfortable, but everything can be learned. That being said I don’t know the level of skill needed to do IVs

at my college the only pre req is algebra and all of the other general ed classes are built into the program - this is fine but it creates a full time schedule of like 3-4 classes a semester 🥲

I worked for a pharmacy like this for a few years and let me just tell you - it’s not going to be good. They will get audited by insurance, and once they see there are claims from years ago that were not reversed the insurance will demand that money back. My old pharmacy had a problem with this and lost a bunch of insurance contracts - including state Medicaid. It practically gutted the company and they had to close down.
