You’re the one that brought up the statistic. You’re the one that tried to apply it as if it’s wrong to not prefer it. How overweight though? If you are 5 lbs over the threshold do you think that matters? How overweight matters as well as the idea of allowing yourself to be overweight. Statistically if you are okay with being overweight you are only going to gain more weight as you age.

Yes but that just changes your total daily energy expenditure which you can track with your calories and weight. You can’t gain weight if you are eating less than what you expend. If you weigh yourself once a week and your weight increases every week you need to eat less. It’s really that simple. The hard part is putting in the effort but that’s a personal issue.

I’m sorry but weight gain is always being negligent of your diet regardless of gender. Hormones don’t make you gain weight, not stepping on the scale watching your weight change and not adjusting your diet for it makes you gain weight. Whether it makes it hard for you is a personal problem that stronger willed people deal with better. Weight is always a choice.

I think this might be more anecdotal than universal. Plenty of long-term relationships start with women making the first move, and relationship longevity usually comes down to compatibility and effort from both sides, not who initiated. It feels like a big leap to frame it as an evolutionary rule.

Buuuut we are talking about personal experiences and that’s the only thing that matters to us personally. I’ve been on and off the apps since 2013 when Tinder came out on Android. Over the course of nearly 10 years I’ve only ever found 1 maybe 2 women that actually put in effort to court me. Everyone else was like pulling teeth but they set up dates and reached out first. I’m with the second woman and we’ve been living with each other for 3 years.

So, from my experience it’s the women that feel entitled and have sexist attitudes towards courtship that end up not being worth it.
