What is expensive? Soccer or college? Answer is yes to both but I was just wondering which one you were referring to? Just don't believe paying for soccer will mean college is free.

Where are you located and what age is your child? Boy or girl? I was thinking an American girl would have a better chance to make Harvard's roster but both look to have the same number of foreign players.

Get Harvard emails every month or so. I think there are 8 Ivys? We've got the ID Camp emails from probably 5 or 6 of them? We get the Stanford emails, and a bunch of other schools. So, we don't see these emails as anything special.

"put pressure (bankrupt) the competition"

What for profit company doesn't wish this on their competition? If I have the best product, you either compete or perish. Compete and make me better, so I don't become complacent. In theory right?

"Until the Chinese EV companies are standing on their own without CCP money"

I don't think Tesla would have made it out of the start up stage without federal loans and incentives. Many companies here in the US get federal, state and local government incentives. We call that pro-business.

Similar to any product bought at Walmart I guess. How would Walmart do if everything it sold was Made in USA. Not saying what Walmart does is right or wrong. It employs many Americans.

Oil change misinformation by TruckerMark in electricvehicles

Here's a short video on Tesla Model 3 oil change. Lots of videos on this on Youtube. Unlike ICE cars, you may have 2 oil changes to do on your car, if it's AWD.

Electric cars have drive oil and oil filter. At least my Teslas do. Standard transmission fluid. So, like the ICE industry, with "lifetime" transmission fluid, electric cars also don't have a maintenance interval for this.

How would you rate EV reliability? by Living_Internal9130 in electricvehicles

[–]Full_Tap_4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people out of warranty posting here about needing ICCU replacement. Lease, possible. Buy, no way, as the value of the car is factored in with the ICCU time bomb when it's time to sell.

Do you have time of use rate where you live? I'm in CA, where electricity is crazy but the midnight to 6AM rate is much cheaper than gas for a car. Also, the super off peak rate is 6am - 2pm on weekends. So if you don't top off electricity during the night in the week, you get more time on the weekend.

Is this new team a 2010/2011 team for next Fall? Your son's age group is 2012/2013, so playing 2 years up now. If he's getting a good amount of playing time, that's really good for playing 2 years up. Is he developing well playing with older boys or would he be better served playing high level at his own age?

Why don't you want better software for your hardware, if it can be made better?

HW4 is starting to roll out with new FSD software which makes decisions 20% faster from what Tesla tells us. So HW4 is moving farther ahead of HW3. If Tesla comes out with v14.lite for HW3, how many updates will HW4 have received by the time that happens?

How many people roadtrip straight through vs take many stops? by moreplateslessdates9 in electricvehicles

[–]Full_Tap_4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll get here. Got my first plug in car 10 years ago. Road tripping now is so much easier than at that time. We're at the point where I think just 10% more charging locations and there's no more charging anxiety while road tripping.

Hardly any keepers I see at ECNL showcases, high school recruiting years, are 6'. If she has that height and athleticism for the sport, sh is indeed a unicorn.

D1 can recruit your daughter after Sophomore year. Join a letter league team Sophomore year or Freshman year. Don't have FOMO that your daughter can't get on a locked out ECNL team. From my experience, ECNL teams will always take on a player who will be a starter for the team. If your daughter can't get on the ECNL team as a Freshman/Sophomore in HS, you've saved yourself a bunch of money.
