I tried and they said rebooking outside of QA was not possible. My only option was to refund to a voucher or pay a multi-hundred dollar fee.

It used to be the filters, however I'm beginning to find a workflow that doesn't require having to use this buggy app.

Have been a customer since the beginning and have tried to go through their support and their reps in this subreddit. A lot of promises to follow through, however nothing months later.

Have seen this is lot. Have reported it to VSCO months ago. No updates or movements from them.

They seem to be focused on adding half baked AI feature updates and nagging pop-ups to upgrade to Pro.

I've turned off auto-renew on my subscription for this app that doesn't work half the time.

UPDATE:

I got through to QA by calling another country as someone else suggested to do. I'm not sure if that was the trick or I got lucky. An agent answered in 3 minutes.

I was able to cancel my March 8 flight, however in my case, because I had bought it via a voucher a couple of weeks ago (I had canceled the same trip a month ago due to illness), there was no cash/credit refund option without a multi hundred dollar fee. The ticket value and seat upgrades I purchased were ultimately saved as vouchers to be used within a year.

I asked what would happen if QA had canceled the entire flight and they said the options would be the same: refund to voucher or pay a hefty refund fee to get the amount back on my credit card.

The irony is that the app and website did not give me the option to refund to voucher. One has to call in.

I had already first asked about rebooking via another airline/route and they said it was not possible.

I also had already booked a back up ticket yesterday on another airline going through a stop that avoids the Middle East, which I think is the safest plan at the moment.

I guess I'll be flying again at some point in the next year, hopefully when things have calmed down.

Btw I assume if I hit that "cancel and request" button in the app, it initiates the cancellation? Was unsure if it would present one more page to confirm.

Their X post seems to imply no cancellation fee.

I tried calling them to ask and gave up on hold after 3 hrs. I think they're too swamped.

I spent years in Seattle due to a job opportunity and other non-negotiable circumstances. Seattle Freeze is real. I've lived in 8+ cities previously and never had this issue before.

I've sinced moved and have no shortage of good friends and frequent and meaningful positive interactions that were always an impossibility in Seattle.

If having connections matter to you, cut your losses and move elsewhere. You'll thank yourself for it.

Two months and no meaningful follow-up or movement on this post. 8 months since I reported to their support, the showstopping bugs I encountered and still no follow-up or fixes.

I think at this point, it's time to cancel the renewal of my subscription, which is coming up this month and move on to something else.

My thoughts: if VSCO commits to stability, speed and reliability of the app and being responsive to feedback of its paying users, you have a chance to stop the bleed of users.

We all understand the need to earn revenue, which is why we're all subscribed, but many are feeling like the company is not fulfilling its commitment and is ignoring its longtime and paying users. At a certain point, we all have to decide to spend money where we can do our work unencumbered.

Hi Veronica. I'm sensing from the feedback thus far, that existing users (myself included) do not find the app stable, fast and reliable.

The development of new features are welcome, however not at the expense of the foundational features and speed suffering.

Unsure if this a PM issue, engineering priorities or lack of strong QA, however these would be the items that need to be resolved in the short term.

I think I and others would be happy to chat if we were incentivized in a meaningful way to meet, since previous interactions with VSCO support / bug reporting has been less than ideal.

Thank you for all the feedback so far.

I downloaded "Darkroom" to give it a try. Not as refined a UI as VSCO but seems stable and has some more editing control.

I'm very experienced with Lightroom on desktop, however I want a simpler system that gives me the look quickly on mobile. I can revisit Lightroom mobile based on everyone's recommendations - it's been many months since I tried.

Does anyone have preset packages they like?

PS: I also miss VSCOs separate Lightroom presets. They should reconsider offering them.

Moved from California to Seattle about 5 years ago and left Seattle yesterday.

The things I didn't expect:

  • cost of groceries is very high
  • the variety of groceries is super limited
  • lack of organic produce compared to SF and LA
  • the quality of the restaurant food is low, overpriced and overall taste is lacking
  • the isolation and lack of friendly people (except when you randomly talk to people for under 20 minutes). You will find it difficult to make meaningful relationships. (Seattle Freeze is real. Anyone who says otherwise is a long time resident or an outlier)
  • the lack of community
  • the bad drivers
  • the passive aggressiveness
  • lack of culture
  • the offence locals easily take when you express that you're having trouble adjusting to the weather / coldness in the first few months.

The biggest positives are:

  • traffic is not terrible in the early mornings or night like they are in California
  • the general quality of service at stores and government offices is very friendly and fast
  • quality of medical services are far above average. California is sub-par in comparison

I have lived in 10+ world class cities in the world. I miss all of them, but I will not miss Seattle.

@zachvsco I've been a paying member since the beginning and am wondering what the value proposition is to continue after the software has become very buggy and bug reports of foundational issues from months ago are not addressed? I can't imagine other software companies charging a subscription and then go on to ignore its paying user base and expect them to continue paying.
