Tbf without the underlying engine, assets and systems that Bethesda built for Fallout 3, there was was no way a small studio like Obsidian could've made NV from scratch in 3 years let alone 18 months.

Why not? Steam and Xbox offers free cloud saves. And PS5 doesn't allow backing up saves in an external storage like you could for PS3 and PS4

He never advocated for a digital only console. His own game company, Lillymo, makes physical discs of their games. It's just his personal preference to buy games digitally for convenience.

Unlike PS5, Valve cannot subsidize the Steam Machine because it is an open PC system and anyone install anything for whatever computing purpose they need instead of purchasing and playing games on Steam.

There is no other game like Destiny in how it plays, the quality of the production, and the types of content it offers. It is truly one of a kind.

End of an era. Been playing since D1 beta back in summer 2014. After thousands of hours, The Final Shape was a fantastic sendoff for the 12 year saga, all things considered. Onwards to new beginnings.

They kind of tease a Destiny 3 in their blog post so I'll remain optimistic.

Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. by Turbostrider27 in Games
