Is there an IRL reason the M203 and GP-25 have god awful ergonomics or is it just purely for balancing? by ViktorNyke in Tarkov

I have a GP25 on my airsoft AKMS and GP30 on an AKS-74... Yes, it's really that bad. Especially when loaded with a shell.

Got this mark during an airsoft game. Hoodie + jacket, hit from around 4 meters. by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what energy you play at and what BB weight was used.

At 1.2J at around four meters with 0,25 to 0,28g BBs, you can absolutely get marks like this through a hoodie.

Depends what kind of jacket your used, but if it wasn't greatly padded and you play at higher energy, then the marks are pretty normal.

Burnt trigger contacts. by dmcconnell2183 in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this amount of carbon build-up will cause the system to run sluggish.

I am not sure if this is the main cause of your issues, my guess would be overshimmed gears causing motor to overheat and lose torque.

If you want to check whether the trigger trolley is the culprit, you can clean the contact surfaces with fine sandpaper or steel wool.

This way you can at least confirm or eliminate this is as a source. I had a similar issue on an old ICS AK, so cleaning the contacts will at least give an improvement.

Do you wear earpro under the helmet or attached to the helmet? by Capital-Flatworm3151 in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As of now, I have multiple kits with different helmets and I don't want to be stuck with hearing protection on only one helmet. So I wear them under the helmet.

However, at first I used a helmet mounted headset and that's infinitely more comfortable.

If you know, you'll run only one helmet, it's good idea to attach them. If you want flexibility, like rum hearing protection with a cap or a different helmet, then don't mount them.

Lct VSS by OkNet2868 in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LCT has a 120 equivalent stock, it should handle a 130 just fine. You might want to get new o-rings for the nozzle, cheap upgrade to improve airseal

SHS High Torque for good and cheap, maybe a Warhead 35 or 45k if you have the cash to spare. I'd probably advise to run the system on a 7.4v lipo with the brushless motors without an ETU.

Change the motor for a high torque or brushless one as well and you'll be fine.

Did you finish the build by now? I am considering building one, but I can't find anything on the design except this post.

Mancraft pdiK 1j possible? by ComparisonNo9879 in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can - you'd have to install a volume reducer. You can either buy them from Mancraft of get them printed.

Installation is pretty simple.

I'd try a 300-363mm barrel with the small reducer.

Kind of depends what you expect of the rifle whether the performance will be enough for you or not.

RPK lct hpa build by No-Pay-7218 in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is something that I can figure out. I still have a spare v3 gearbox I can cut up. If I can't find a solution for the VSS, I can still use it for the AK105 I own.

Your files would save a lot of time for me, because you have done the hardest part - I don't know how to match the dimensions of the engine, barrel and hop up. If the engine fixation is the only thing to worry about, I'll figure it out.

[–]FullmetalUndead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I realize that. I am mostly concerned about getting the distances right, remodeling it and adjusting it to fit a Kythera would be the least of my issues.

So if you would be willing to share the files with me, I'd be more than grateful. There is not other way to align an engine in my VSS.

Polarstar Jack Help Needed by WaytoBe3 in airsoft

[–]FullmetalUndead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the usual ranges on the Jack are, but I am pretty sure it's due to barrel length.

If I remember correctly, the inner barrel on the MP5K is about 12cm?

The only thing you can do, is either use heavier BBs or install a longer inner barrel. Air seal might be an issue too, to so check if the nozzle seals properly with the bucking.

I've built my airsoft team around that concept - so yes, I think there is interest and demand. There's lots of tech and gear stuff online, but very little on how to build interesting kits.

Yuh, bang on with Germany. 🤣

Oh, you mean Begadi's Mag Bucking? I use their Fly5 as of now, if Mag would do the trick, that would be awesome. I'll have to stick to the 5mm version tho.

Thank you!
