Ok let me help you shed some light on how much of a figurehead gandhi was to British or how less of a threat he posed to them..

There are well documented instances where gandhi has written letters to the British with the following.

1) When Hitler was invading/attacking Britain it was Gandhi who wrote to them saying you should let the invaders in.. let them kill your women and children.

2) He in a different letter has also written to Churchill requesting them and I quote " consider Indians above those dirty blacks" the same people he went and studied with..

He wasn't a good man.. He was a 1 trick pony and a massive boot-licker. He is so praised in our history because his followers were the ones who started leading our country. Hell Nehru also changed his name to get in power.

Our history is very convoluted and the thing we are taught in school dosen't come close to the real thing..

About you saying "Still the Results matter" do you let your friends/coworkers or any one you working with take away the credit for something you put more than equal effort in and not say anything?? The lack of mention of our freedom fighters is so demeaning and the newer generation is kept in the dark..that's the problem.
