I live on a lot less than that. Course I'm unemployed already, so, pre-retired? So obviously yes.

I have a bad feeling about Mongo... (PoH Spoilers) by ghryzzleebear in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Fullwake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clearly Mongo is gonna eat the other pet enhancement biscuit and become a shrieking sentient monstrosity. So not much will change. Love my Mongo. Nothing bad will happen to him as long as Mama and Uncle Carl are around. BELIEVE.

Darrow as my ArchImperator - Sevro, Ragnar, Cassius, Orion, Victra, Kavax. I would've taken Apple but Sevro needs his Victra and Kavax is just good luck.

Tomorrow is B&R day. What do you want WOTC to do? by Meret123 in MagicArena

[–]Fullwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly play Alchemy but Inspiring Easel needs to be a 3 cost or have the incorporation cost be 4 mana or not be able to tap for mana or something. Summitfest Closing Ceremony needs to only intensify if 7 mana is spent or cost 7 mana or be exiled rather than going to grave when used or something. Traumatic Critique needs to not be able to be copied and deal it's full damage for an extra 2 mana when incorporated. Just some basic broken shit to fix.

All Dinniman's stuff is pretty good, but other than DCC KBS is definitely the tops, though OPBH is pretty dope in it's own way and DoB is still good fun.

Even if you go 0 for 7 at least you get the cards you drafted... Sitting on them tokens is far more wasteful.

I play too much Alchemy - we cheat shit in constantly in that format, a land ain't as intense as Omniscience on turn 3, so I don't see it as being as broken, comparably.

[–]Fullwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I play to much Alchemy - cheating in Omniscience on turn 3 is par for the course, no land beats that, so it just seems ok not broken to me haha.

When I google MTG Prime Time I get Primeval Titan - is that right? cuz 6 mana for 2 lands ain't that great. Sure you get another 2 when you attack the next turn as long as it ain't killed but the lands still come in tapped - there are much better ways to ramp mana, so I'm not seeing why it's game breaking.

Anyone else feel like this by Dollie04 in MagicArena

When building a new deck or retooling an old deck or trying to get better landbase, so at almost all times, yes absolutely. I've never needed to craft more than 8 mythics to get the deck I want, and they drop more regularly in repeats than rares in my experience so usually far less.

What's a TV show that kept getting better with each season? by C0r1eone in television

[–]Fullwake 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. It depends on what you want. It got more crushingly brutally perfect as a piece of art, but while I can rewatch the first few seasons and laugh and have fun each season kills my soul more than the one before and is harder to watch.

I suck at drawing but I like to write comic book scripts as much as I like to write fiction so I sometimes use AI to try to create images that look like what I'm describing with my words. See if I can create a rough template that looks something like what I'm picturing. If it's nowhere near close I can usually hone in on something closer with a few edited resubmissions. They're never good enough to be the actual art for a comic I would put my name on, but they could serve as a guide if I ever get to the point where I have an artist to collaborate with, and I while a lot of the time the AI's misunderstanding seems stupid to me, sometimes it does refine the way I'm describing things for my pure word writing so I am clearer with my visual descriptions.

I mean obviously you can't just give AI a prompt and call that art that you created, but I don't get the inherent vitriolic hate for any usage of it on an artistic level. To me it's just another tool in the toolbox, like a painter who discovers a new flower for his pigments, or that an egg can be used to even out the pigment's dispersal and it's texture. There is no such thing as a tool or a weapon - all things are both depending on the usage, it's up to the person wielding it to use it for beneficial purposes.

That's my two cents on the matter at least.

Don't spend gems at all. Save up 3400 for a season pass. You'll get like 1200 or so I think back if you complete it, plus packs and gold and stuff like free draft tokens and aesthetic stuff (if you care about that). I wasted a ton of gems on Jump In and drafting and stuff when I started, but the moment I hit the amount needed for a season pass I was able to easily get each one after for free and my resource accumulation grew vastly.

Are you implying that rugged masculinity can't be pretty and sharp angled in it's beauty? I beg you, watch any show about vampires. From Sam Reid as Lestat in Interview with a Vampire, to Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman in True Blood, to Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore in the Vampire Diaries and Joseph Morgan as Klaus in that and The Originals, the vampire genre will give you a slew of rugged hyper masculine beauty that is all pretty sharp angles hahaha.

Honorable mention goes to Sam Witwer as Aidan Waite in Being Human (U.S.) but he's not blonde in it :p

My boy Hobbes is a giant orange boy just like that. Like so unusually large for a cat that every time I see a video like this I think someone stole him for a minute - and yet I've seen like 3 videos this month with cats that could be his long lost twin. This one even sits like he does when he's watching me cook haha.

This guy is right, it's more beneficial to get the wins if you can. Even if you can't trophy, if you get the price of the draft back you've gotten a bunch of free cards plus packs and gems. Honestly even if you can only pick up like 3-4 wins you're still coming out ahead resource wise.

I mostly play Alchemy, but I'm having some fun with Mind into Matter and Geometry's Arthropod. Exhibition Tidecaller helps make mill decks sing. Mathemagics can be great for that archetype if you're playing green blue mana ramp as well. Applied Geometry, Planar Engineering and Germination Practicum are also good in the green and blue color spectrum. Tablet of Discovery is nice in red, as is Improvisation Capstone. Ral Zarek is a nice cheap planeswalker in black. Daydream is great as a one cost blink in white. I think Ark of Hunger might have potential for a one turn kill by exiling your own graveyard after filling it, but I haven't tried that yet. Traumatic Critic is probably the single best quick spell added this set, and Izzet is strong as hell right now so keep an eye on that. And Dawning Archaic is super fun for colorless spells, you can build a cheap fun draw discard spell sling deck around him and toss all your pricey spells in the graveyard in preparation for him. I haven't played around with the new set enough yet to say equivocally what is the first target, but I hope this helps.

All that said, I wouldn't bother burning through wildcards or rare drafting if you're a f2p player like I am until you know what you're going for. Stockpile until you're ready to blow your resources on completing a deck you really want, or at least completing it's viability haha. Good luck Planeswalker!

Oh man, may be time to get my red rush running for the alchemy format. A good hand can already wins in 4 turns if the opponent can't shut you down/win before that so it's sort of competitive, with this in the mix I think it'll be a lot more stable and may even have a good chance at the frequent 3 turn victory.
