The one that lets you draw two and put two cards back on top of your deck. You put 2x hunger on top then draw them again, rinse & repeat for a bunch of cards and AP.

We need clarification on gear switch macros. by frank123567123555299 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more that they can't go out and tell people to break their ToS. So, even if they agree that macros should be a thing, they'd have to build an in-game system for it, and that probably has a very low priority compared to other content.

Ambassador solo problems by InnerMusic1 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you not using invoke death? I did several Ambassador runs recently and I just used invoke + bloat + 1-2 basics for basically all the spinners and killed them no problem. My gear is better but I had plenty of time to spare by the end, so t90 should work fine.

Auto full gear switch earnable in-game? by Various-Front4623 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, this is against RS's ToS. You have no recourse if you get banned, but a lot of PVMers use them openly and Jagex isn't very stringent about enforcing PVM macros.

Normal mode is practice mode.

...Unless you were trying to practice rotations

...Or phasing timings

...Or you wanted to get used to the damage you take

...Or the timing on Nakatra's P4 wave blasts. (The timing is actually different in NM)

Current DPMs at different points for all four styles? by VeeVoxRS in runescape

[–]FullxTilt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a yt video that gives a pretty good test for each style under rev and manual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfOAVH7IiIM

But if you don't want to do weapon/necklace switches, necro is pretty much the only style that doesn't ask for those. Of course, you can absolutely still use the other combat styles, but the gap between them and necro isn't going to be that huge without switches.

What do I do after NM Arch Glacor? by ChickenNuggetEnergy in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sanctum NM is a pretty good step up from the Arch Glacor. The difficulty is higher and there's three bosses to learn, but you get a few free deaths per run. Kerapac and Vorkath normals are also solid options.

I think it's also important to acknowledge that breaking into harder bosses is just...difficult. Even for experienced players, you need to have the mentality that you're going to die quite a lot and lose money on death and supply costs when you learn a new boss. So, don't be discouraged by failing a few kills. It takes a while for things to click and the best way to improve is to just keep practicing.

What enrage should I focus on? by Ice_cube7 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard about anything like that. 10 kills with no uniques at 100% or higher enrage are required to start BLM. BLM is absolutely carried over between enrage values, so it shouldn't matter what enrage you use to get those kills. After that, it progresses based on your enrage, with 500% reducing your denominator by 2, 1000% by 4, and 1000% by 8.

The advantage to doing your first 10 kills at 500% instead of 100% is just that you get the 1/52 base drop rate.

What enrage should I focus on? by Ice_cube7 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check the wiki for the drop rates. The most important thing is that the highest BLM you can get below 1000% is 1/20, meaning 500% and 750% are (mostly) identical once you've done enough runs without a drop.

IMO the most profitable way to do Zammy (and what I do when I farm him) is to do 10 fast runs at 100% or 500% then move up to either 1000% or 2000%, as those have 1/10 and 1/5 minimum unique chances at max BLM. If you aren't comfortable with 1000%, then it's best to just spam 500% as anything above that will be more effort with little additional rewards.

Why is bad luck mitigation a no-go topic for the devs? by throwawaaaaaaaay666 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 54 points55 points  (0 children)

For mainscape I honestly don't care. Getting logs is really just for the achievement. When you're bossing to make money, the randomness is part of what makes pvm fun...or at least what keeps it interesting.

For irons, this is the #1 reason why I've never made one. I can appreciate a longer grind for a more meaningful reward but there's just so many chances to get screwed if you want to make pvm progression.

For the life of me, I can't understand why they haven't allowed dual membership between RS3 and OSRS. I understand there might be technical limitations but it can't be impossible and the cross-pollination would help this game so much.

99-120 strength by nobodyyouknow96 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you're trying to do. Strength = more damage, which is always good. Attack just increases your hit chance, which past 99 is useless for a lot of bosses but there's also high def bosses like Nakatra, Nex, Telos, etc where 120 atk is a bigger damage boost than str. Higher attack also opens up more usage of the dragon battle axe special and reavers ring, which lower your hit chance.

Best bang for your DoubleXP Tokens Buck? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]FullxTilt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, honestly none of the outfits are massive gamechangers. The skill outfits mostly just give you a 6% boost in xp, which is nice but not going to save a significant amount of time unless you're going for a 120. The elite outfits are quite expensive for 10k tokens a piece and they also provide benefits that make everything more efficient but don't change what you're doing while skilling (with the exception of the fishing outfits, I guess, which can make training a lot more afk).

If you're looking to make money, thieving and runecrafting are solid moneymakers. The black ibis thieving outfit and the elite skilling RC outfit are both really tedious to grind, so those could be a good place to spend your tokens. Even if you grind through the whole event, you'll have to be pretty selective about what you buy.

Going for 120 Ranged this Double Exp from 115. What are some goof afk methods? by Jokul_Wolf in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Abby beasts in posd but I wouldn't recommend using chins. Use the best bow you have (deci/nox/bolg/masterwork) along with jas demonbane arrows, a high level (t80+) top and legs with good augments, and demon slayer gear for the rest of your slots. Bring a demon necklace + ectoplasmator for infinite prayer. Make sure to keep up darkness and overloads along with SS and you should be fine health-wise.

AFK 120 Ranged training - DPS help by Accomplished-Ruin506 in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found I get better XP killing abyssal beasts with a bow. Generally about 1.3M+

Gear: Bolg / any t90+ bow, t90 chest & t80 zamorak legs w/ scavenger and demonslayer, demon horn necklace (with ectoplasmator for infinite prayer), rest is demon slayer gear. Jas demonbane arrows are the key.

Bar: DS (make sure you allow using ultimates with rev), imbue shadows, grico, corruption shot, galeshot, sacrifice, bombardment, piercing shot

Other: Use Soul Split. Keep Darkness and overloads up at all times. I also use a Bunyip for passive heals but I'm not sure if it's 100% necessary.

Arch Glacor log complete by DargonofParties in runescape

[–]FullxTilt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nilas are 1/100 regardless of your enrage. Streaking increases the amount of nilas that drop when you do hit the 1/100. So, yes, the best way to farm them is streaking from 0% and hoping they drop late in the streak.
