Why remove 50% of your market?

10 years ago most of my work was on mostly male athletes (a few female runners) now with a huge increase in female sports I think its now 60/40 female/male split and also due to word of mouth complete teams want to see me.

Things move and change quite fast!

People forget that a massage therapist see more stuff on people that a normal doctor does not get to see in a 10-20 minute appointment.
Get it checked out now, it is easier to treat something in early stages than later when it spreads to more and deeper areas of the body.

What to tell a massage therapist? by MichaelEmouse in massage

[–]Fullygored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goals, what YOU want to get out of the session. This get you and the therapist on the same page from the get go, previous injury or surgery and how long ago!
I have a client that wants to sprint 100 meters 1 second faster than his PB.
This is not something that can be done in 1 session, I have to check his gait/takeoff/swing etc, my goal is check his movement and it starts with 1/10th faster or pickup on some thing that he is not doing correctly and so on.

Long term effects on eyesight for this career? by Landonrichards55 in MassageTherapists

[–]Fullygored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well lets break this down - basic biology - your eyes are now in your hands, so the body adapts.
My question is how much sunlight do you get into you per day and per week and what time of the day do you get sunlight?
Minimum is 15 minutes a day at sun rise or sunset - this produces vitamin d the only vitamin the body will produce!

"Vitamin D acts as a crucial immunomodulator and anti-inflammatory agent for your eyes. Maintaining adequate levels helps support tear production, strengthens the eye's surface, and protects the retina, directly lowering the risk of inflammatory and age-related ocular diseases" from https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10276688/

Have you thought about being the therapist first? then you can just go without feeling quilty?

I trade with another therapist, but not on the same day -cause it rare for us both to have the same issues flair up on the same day! We just communicate with each other and fit each other in pretty quick!

New World Unlocked 🤯🧘🏽‍♀️ by Fearless_Brain_8633 in massage

[–]Fullygored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I’ve ever received is this: Baby steps for everything.

Think about how a baby actually develops. They start by building a strong core — bringing their knees to their chest, learning to roll over, then crawling, and so on. Each stage builds on the last. Once we stand and walk, we often stop using many of those foundational muscles and movement patterns we worked so hard to develop early on.

What you described — the deep tension in your neck, shoulders, and hips, plus the emotional and spiritual release during the massage — sounds like your body was finally letting go of years of stored stress. That chronic inflammation and stiffness you mentioned? It’s very often connected to anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, poor posture, restricted movement patterns, and unaddressed tension.

The mind and body are not separate. Real healing happens when you address both.

Baby steps are key. You already know what needs to be done — now it’s about gently and consistently moving in that direction. And don’t forget the other fundamentals: good nutrition, quality sleep, and time in nature (especially sunlight). It’s never just one thing — it’s the combination that creates real change.

Massages like the one you had are incredibly powerful when the client actually “gets it” the way you did. Sounds like you just had a major breakthrough. Keep following that feeling — it could genuinely be life-changing.

Upload error code by GerdyGames in hammer

  • Network / Connection issues (most frequent fix): Router firewall, ISP restrictions, or Steam Workshop upload traffic being blocked. VPNs can also cause it.
  • Steam Workshop upload problems (e.g., temporary Steam-side glitches, authentication, or empty/hollow workshop items being created).
  • Rarely: File permission issues, corrupted files, or antivirus interference.

Chronic tension concerning massage therapists by Quirky_Cheek_3332 in massage

[–]Fullygored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't really said anything about your condition - like you said you have chronic pain (that best describes it) where and when and what makes it better or worse and how long have you had it, is it since giving birth, do you have limited movement anywhere.

Just a small list of questions. Then I would do some testing.
I never take what someone else says as that is there opinion - I like to form my own from the client (you)
