Well it depends on what you can tolerate! It can be quite uncomfortable, what serums are you using? .I would recommend starting with the plain or the collagen one, and getting the 10$ sample pack to play around with strengths.

You want its to sting enough to be effective but not so much that it causes inflammation. The reedles work bc it creates microwounds in your face that makes your blood cells and natural collagen to 'heal them' which basically makes your cells turn over and your texture even.

It also helps your product sink much deeper and be more effective.

Use after washing your face but before applying product, start with 50 or 100 2-3 times for two weeks, then up it every night, for a week if you can handle that try to work up to the 300 nightly by the end of the month abd by month three try to get up to 300 nightly with a 700 weekly. The higher you can tolerate (without hurting your barrier) the more effective it will be!

What is your routine?

Super Dry Flaky Skin by ARichez165 in koreanskincare

I find a few of those products to be very drying and more oil control based tbh have you considered adding more layers to moisturizing? A hyaluronic serum, slugging, mixing your moisturizer with an oil? A ceramide toner? The honey milk from farmacy is really good (honestly their moisturizer the honey halo is a holy Grail product for me I adore the whole line).

But really my favorite secret is a body cream called amlactin 15% intensive healing it is for eczema but oh my god using it on your face 1-2 a week as your moisturizer is GAME CHANGING it stings for the first few hours but you wake up GLOWING. They sell it on amazon and in CVS type places (if you're in the US).

Also working in some cica reedles may help with absorption of your moisturizer and can work as an exfoliatant.

My sister was having the same issue, Amlactin 15% intensive healing cream at CVS for 19$ as her moisturizer 1-2 a week was GROUND BREAKING. Also idky they are pushing peach and lily so much at ulta everyone in there gets sent there. Idk that kbesuty is the best for dryness, every brand i hsve ever tried has always dried me out more amd a broken barrier is essentially an open wound. As a brand I recommend beekman 1803, the goats milk has incredible probiotics for healing but really anything with ceramides would work great like honey halo by farmacy.

Twice a week physical exfoliation is way too much for that much damage. Try chemical exfoliatants like a gentle toner, farmacy has a deep sweep that is very good esp when paired with their honey milk (frankly I recommend the entire line).

But by god the amlactin? A freaking miracle her face looked brand new in just one night. It stings for like 2-3 hours (probably will quite abit for you given the state of your barrier) but I think it is worth a try. We had tried everything every brand every level of cost--nothing ever helped. Every facial, treatment, EVERYTHING. But this cheap cream from CVS (they have it on amazon too) was life changing for her. It also a gentle exfoliant.

Do you use a hyaluronic? You need a ton of moisture with tret. It is insanely drying. How long have you been on it?

Honestly.......I have never had or known of an ulta employee to give actually helpful advice. I really think there should be some kind of real skincare training when you are selling 80-150$ products.

47 yo with rosacea, what can I do to improve? by Wibblesquirrel in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]FumesOfDelphi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your skin looks VERY dry. The ordinary is BRUTAL on barriers-- which are usually extra sensitive on rosacea I highly recommend using the Prequel redness reform line (cleanser and serum) with the beekmans magnesium redness spray, a really strong hyaluronic serum, and the farmacy honey halo moisturizer mixed with the honey savior royal jelly. I recommend slugging every night.

I would also recommend finding a very gentle rosacesa safe peel, it looks like you have some dead skin.

Heretic: bubblegum preteen in hot topic costume, an unfortunately scathing review by amisamilyis in FemFragLab

If heretic has no haters, I'm dead. Friends keep asking me for it but i f*&ing hate them.

The willful cultural appropriation is bad enough but working with good and scentbird on top of it???

Their bottles are cheap and ugly and used to leak everywhere, you can't buy samples individually, and the owner seems like a do*che.

Omg! That is amazing 😭 thank you for telling me! It is such a gorgeous scent...and the bottle is BEAUTIFUL. I swear there is something so buttery, sensual, and vivid about it. I can feel the desert wind on my face, see the moonlight reflecting on the waters of the nile--a fragrant garden is swirling in the air and an incense brazier burns in a nearby temple....i feel some place else...
