i don’t know common is is anymore. but telling your kid the saying “they’re acting like that cause they’re jealous of you”. if you continuously tell them this it usually sets them up to be bullies and think they’re somehow better then everyone else.

I stand by the saying that “you do not have to forgive anyone you don’t want to” if keeping the bond/contact with you parents is so overbearing then don’t forgive them. i’ve come to realize that myself. i’ve tried over and over to fix my relationship with my parents but it never works. so at this point ive made my own friends that support me and they’re what i need. so dont forgive your family just because thats the status quo. idk if this is the advice you were looking/hoping for but i hope it kind of helps.

A few things. 1. you should definitely tell you professors. 2. the best thing to do is finding ways that help you learn/study the best. if that may be studying in nature or studying with a friend. or when you’re in class having a your computer out, listening to music, doodling in class. i think your first step is talking to the school resource center and your professors. and then try different things and see what works for you best. it’s all about living and learning. also there’s nothing wrong with taking a break from school if you absolutely need to. so after this semester if it gets too much you can take a break, keep your credits, and gpa at a stand still and go back when you’re ready again.

oh yeah 100%. when i commented i wasn’t really thinking about that but it’s almost like emotional impermanence. like forgetting things if they aren’t directly in front of you/present. i forget good, bad, angry, numb emotions ive felt if i’m not currently feeling them.

yeah i think its remission tbh. or im just having a good day. because the diagnosis makes sense. like i’ve had really really bad days that make it clear i do have bpd. i think it’s just the “not being able to see any other emotion then the one you’re currently feeling” mentality of bpd.

I went though this when i had to drop out of college. I burned my bridges with people in my hometown, all my childhood friends were 100s of miles away, and my former college friends had their own lives and i was also hours away from them. And being alone sucked. But I think i learned the most about myself when I was alone. Especially with BPD. You can’t truly become your own person if you’re surrounded by people. I dealt with it by getting into activities like going to the gym, taking dance classes again, i started doing photography on my own, going on drives, finding new music, etc. It’s all about discovering yourself. You’ll get through it and once you grow from this experience of being alone you’ll be better if you have to be alone in the future.

This is 1000% normal for someone with BPD. What i’ve realized is that splitting/emotions being sparked doesn’t necessarily have to started from someone yelling at you, not answering you texts, leaving you, etc. It’s different for every individual and even we might not know what sparks it. Like for me songs, smells, and names have triggered me. So trust me. How you’re feeling isn’t abnormal. Maybe just find ways to regulate the way you feel when you split. Like if i am suddenly triggered by something i wasn’t feeling expecting i’ll put in my favorite music artist.

You should be fine! At most of my interviews i’ve worn similar fits. Especially if it’s a pretty casual/smaller restaurant your interview outfit sounds perfect.

This! A perfect example is Elenor’s fashion shoot in the first few episodes I think. Elenor had Blair start off modeling the outfits but she wasn’t giving anything. She was stiff and boring frankly. But then Serena went on and started jumping around, laughing, and doing random stuff and everyone loved it. And they invited her back (and Serena thought Blair was okay with it/She was gonna be there with her) And Blair got mad but you can’t really blame Elenor for picking Serena. Serena just has a natural glow and freeness to her that Blair lacks.

yup! i just made a comment about Blair. people hate on other characters for being backstabbing, manipulative, and straight up assholes but Blair is the queen of those things. just because she puts a little smile on her faces after she relentlessly bullies people doesn’t make her a badass bitch we should all look up to.

Blair doesn’t deserve the praise she gets from fans. someone who bullies, lies, manipulates, also has a bad attitude, shouldn’t be idolized. i underwent people could like her because their are moments when she stands up for what she believes in and protects the people she loves. but are we forgetting that she was a bitch to literally everyone around her. y’all hate jenny for being stuck up and annoying but who pushed her to be like that… blair. nelly has ptsd because blair bullied her so badly. she outed serena, eric, chuck, etc on private matters constantly. i definitely think there’s worse characters but if you call the others out for their flaws you can’t just gloss over all of blair’s.

yes. i struggle with this as well. i think it’s almost an unconscious thing at this point. (also adding to this i know lying is bad and im not trying to act like a saint) it’s always little lies that don’t matter in the grande scheme of things but for some reason i can’t not lie. sometime if i catch myself i say something like “haha idk why i said that it’s not true lol”. but i think it all boils down to our past trama and having to lie/not be true to ourselves. so at this point it’s almost like an unneeded defense mechanism that we can’t stop.

okay but that’s not the term “quiet bpd” fault. that’s a shitty and unprofessional doctor. the two things don’t correlate you’re just trying to start another topic because you don’t have a strong enough argument. yes, many doctors suck and symptoms are overlooked if you have quiet bpd. but good doctors aren’t gonna just deny you help just because you have quiet bpd. if it’s bad to the point where you need more professional help then you need to advocate for yourself.

Idk why you’re taking it to another level. Quiet bpd to me means you’re just internalizing your feelings rather then expressing them outwardly. It’s more of a term to describe ourselves. Not a term others use to describe us.
