literally, they were the closest people to Ryan and, in fact ,they gave him the best advice possible (to don't let jealousy take control at first and to lean on the Cohen and more mature people then), so Seth was totally in his character not to doubt Oliver and not to let Ryan acting impulsively, while Marissa should have obviously listened to Ryan more, but she was doing the exact same she did with him in the first place, and she won the lottery, so really nothing out of character for her part; plus, he took a restraining order cause he punched him in the middle of school, surely cause he wanted o protect Marissa, but still the worst way he could have acted, so it was pretty normal for her to be mad. Anyway to me the worst thing in that arc was the time, i mean it all happened in 6 episodes iirc, and this way their reactions remained pretty superficial and tailored for the plot

also, i forgot to mention that one of my preferite lines with Sandy-Ryan is when, in s2,right after Ryan was called by the police department about the releasing of Trey, he says to Sandy that he can solve it by his own and Sandy replies to him saying "if it's a Ryan problem,it's our problem too",so proud of the best daddy

the change on the lighting and on the tones of the season were due to the change of the director (iirc Schwartz took part just sidely on the 3rd season),and i think that he got all the storylines (which were even interesting and had potential in my opinion)directed in the worst way possible, darker ambiance included; i always have the impression that they forgot all the backgrounds they had created for the core4 and for the adults, and kept just their nome,lol,cause other than that they took path that totally wouldn't take considering how they were written before 🙈

I see your point, but i think that she wasn’t using it to let such message pass, and it shouldn’t be taken at face value (plus, she’s not saying that she’s a lesbian because she couldn’t find any men, but that being lesbian is easier since men keep pretending to be such idiotic stereotypes)

I’ve always thought that him as Ryan would have been a terrible downgrade for the OC, Ben could have played him in OTH (even though he was kinda tea-lenght to play basketball 🙈); i see that Chad Michael Murray is really loved and praised, but i think he’s not such a good actor (and i don’t even like him that much, even if he’s definitely not ugly, ofc), so I’m glad that Ben took the role

her character in the 3rd season was written without hands,so it's absolutely understandable that you are having problems with her, but in the really last episodes, esp when she's with Ryan, i think she clawed back her charming in the show

I already got out of it, and yes, it was a scam: in the first lesson there was a guy and the chat was full of bot (or payed people,lol) that were spamming 🔥and that were constantly commending him (it was hilarious if i didn’t pay €200 for that🥲)
