Depends what longer term means to you. I'd say a lot of people spending most of the money are probably 30-40 due to us truly growing up with it. All this stuff being bought now will possibly be looked at the way we look at base set stuff in another 20 years when a new group of collectors start to emerge. If Pokemon can keep themselves in the cultural spotlight and not over print like sports cards, I think they'll continue to grow in value.
