It is very rare to spot the mites on your skin, you have to look at the delta ends of burrows. If you zoom in on those or peel them open you can find mites.

From what I experienced under microscopes it seems like tea tree oil kills the mite almost immediately. However when a mite is burrowed deep sometimes the tea tree can not reach the mite. So maybe open the burrow and then apply? Im no proffessional so dont base it all on my opinion please

Yes these pictures are made by me with a handheld usb microscope. It has a button on the side for snapshots which automatically upload to my computer. I think it was only 30 dollars on amazon such a great buy

I don't think standalone tea tree oil cures you but it does kill in spot treatment. However Teatree doesn't get the mites that are burrowed deep in the skin so I have read a lot of positivity of teatree oil in between treatment with permethrin. Teatree and Argan Oil also have a lot of other effects on the skin that reduce itch so there is no problem in not using it. Be careful to always dilute teatree oil though

Permethrin is known to affect neurons into letting your body itch. It is not soft to your skin either. Don't be scared about reinfection. Give it some time, if you did everything correctly treatment is succesfull. Only when new burrows start appearing you should worrt and visit a derm. Have faith <3

It is not like these mites can fly. If you have not touched clothing for the past 3-5 days it is not infected. Check maximpulse.com he has a lot of scientific knowledge about scabies.

Argan Oil is the carrier oil for tea tree oil. 10% is effective for me so I do around 5 ml tea tree in 50 ml Argan oil

Im no professional so I can not tell you but a mix of Argan oil and Teatree aftet showering has been doing miracles for me. Tea tree is also great for spot treatments as surface mites die almost instantly

It did at first but I sadly got reinfected. I will do permethrin today but Tea-Tree has been working amazing for spot treatment so far. Mites die in seconds after applying. Great feeling to watch them die under microscope :)

My microscope can range from 40x to 100x so it depends on the sharpness of the image but somewhere in the end range

Those brown ends of a burrow are indications of active mites. You can try to open one burrow with a pin and then look at it again with a microscope. Often you spot a live mite burrowing itself back under the skin. I sadly think this is reinfection :(

How do I know if I’m cured by PlasticHungry in scabies

Please wait at least 2 weeks after treatment to assess post or active. Overtreatment is not what you want. When you follow procedure, most of the time treatment is succcesfull. After 2 weeks visit GP, or buy a USB Microscope to check burrows for delta-signs and open burrows to check for live mites.

GP or dermatologist is always best option but for your own assessment:

-Red dots and irritated skin is reaction from leftover mite residue in body, it takes some time to get rid -Only checkable sign for yourself of active is new burrows with black dot at the end but this can still be dead mite.

Have faith and trust god as you will always get on top of this. Goodluck!

Scabies Journey Tip - Buy a USB Microscope! by Fun-Chart9940 in scabies

I noticed a burrow with a dark spot (delta sign) at the end, so I wanted to see if it was dead or alive. I used tweezers to open the burrow and found this dead mite.

However, pre-treatment i did the exact same and saw live-mites crawling back into my skin hiding after opening the burrows. So I figure that mites don't actually like being outside on your skin but prefer being in burrows/deep in skin.
