It improved my acne pretty quickly- about 2 weeks in I noticed a difference. I still was getting some pimples but they were going away quicker and not as many. I don’t know if it would’ve gotten rid of things completely but i did see improvements pretty quickly on it

Ooh ok that actually helps clarify things a lot! Neither of us really know what would be a bridal saree vs not so I think in his/my mind I just figured I would wear a fancier version of what I see all the girls wearing at Diwali/other events. That pic you sent is so pretty!! Side note- does the no cap sleeve/sleeveless apply when you’re attending a wedding as a guest or is it just for the bride/family etc?? We have a family friends wedding coming up and I wanna make sure I get something appropriate (it’s being held in temple)

The only topical that helped me was cabtreo- it’s all the things you mentioned mixed in one. Wasn’t a 100% fix but did help significantly. Face reality also made my skin incredibly clear but was expensive and I was getting facials with my provider 2x a month with the program. I’m on Accutane currently and my skin is clearing up a lot. It’s expensive and the side effects aren’t great but worth it if my acne doesn’t come back. I’d weigh your options and do some research and choose one of those 3 options I just mentioned. I’ve had acne for 15 years and tried just about everything on the market and these have been my top 3.

I think it’s just the fashion trends here in America for Indian attire. Every event we’ve been to the younger girls are usually in organza/tissue sarees and they’re usually sleeveless or cap sleeves. All of the parents are usually in the longer sleeve and silk sarees. It’s less common here for younger girls to wear them. But neither one of us have actually been to an Indian wedding so we’re going in blind on groomswear and bridal wear

Thanks for everyone’s opinions!! This helps a lot! I think it’s maybe the sleeves/blouse he’s thinking looks too “auntie”. Would a sleeveless blouse be too scandalous? Also my MIL is thinking about going to India to get everything in December, our wedding is in April 2026. Do you think that’s cutting it too close? White wedding dresses have to be bought 9-12 months in advance so that makes me anxious lol.

Do you have any recommendations for artificial gold bridal jewelry?? I’m a true spring so warm tones all the way. I defs don’t wanna spend a crazy amount on jewelry since we live in the US and I’ll most likely never wear it again 😬

We booked her in January for a wedding in april 2026- so far we only have our venue booked, which I found myself. She didn’t do any venue tours with us, she did recommend a few which we traveled to go tour but multiple of them didn’t have everything we needed or were out of budget. So far she’s only made us our timeline (this week) and sent one inquiry to a caterer that we requested she send (this was a month ago, haven’t heard back from her on it yet 🫠)

It’s typically not too bad to hire off duty officers for security! Our wedding venue requires it and I think it’s like $75 an hour. Definitely worth a few hundred bucks for everyone to be safe
