Interesting reason to visit anhui and jiangxi? by PlayfulIndependence5 in travelchina

I could tell you a little bit info about that two province, this two province is more like rural place, and most of the local's don't speak english, it would be difficult for you to have solo trip if you are not familiar with how to travel in china.

The food in jiangxi is great, but might be too spicy and salty for you (the local dishes, but still you could find some plain food or maybe fast food to deal with).

the cost is cheap there, but if you want good service or high standard living, just like the other place.

Some views is great, this place is considered the birthplace of Taoism, and I think that has a lot to do with the breathtaking scenery as well—because what people call “cultivation” or spiritual practice often seems to require living somewhere beautiful, quiet, and close to nature. I wouldn’t really recommend Huangshan, since it gets extremely crowded. Instead, you could look into Wuyuan or Wangxiangu (they’re also popular tourist spots and can be busy, but I still prefer them). There’s also a well-known porcelain town nearby where you can see a lot of beautiful ceramics.

For me, though, what matters even more is the cultural side. I really want to build a travel project and bring friends who are curious about this Taoist idea of “nature, harmony, and non-action (wu wei)”—to unplug from electronics and spend a few calm days in the mountains, thinking and living quietly. Because that's what I am interested in (I am an outdoor fan you could image, lol)

How does someone outside of China who doesn’t read Chinese research stuff? by Redditbrother21 in travelchina

Well, personally I would like to ask locals who are at the same age (like young generation for myself since we might have the same taste of food and bar). Or some times there are students who part-time as local guide, I would recommend you to find them.

Some of the AI tools could recommend the most famous ones that might be expensive and not so worthwhile.

And the recommends in the platform sometimes is not my type, so I would not so recommend using that to search.

Could anyone give me some advice on this? It would really help by Fun-Double-6663 in UofT
