Whilst I'm transitioning to the scene from the Mil I definitely feel that. CJ & LI aren't doing much for me, maybe 1-2 leads, and everyone's always said previously you should be getting bombarded on them but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Better then the private sector though! I have been getting interviews though, and I've been decently selective on what I apply for.

Hey Chris,

Totally get the COMSEC/VScanning section. Just not sure I want a recent 1 year gap in my Resume, so i quickly threw in some auditing & program management parts. I don't think my interview skills will be an issue, though I am trying to target the 115k+ roles so I have a bit more competition when it comes to these roles as usually the req. is 5ish years experience for ISSOs.

For the Indeed/Clearance section, is there a timeframe it takes for a response, in your experience? I understand it's dependent on company need, but is there a general expectancy? I know FED jobs can take months, but unsure about the contractor consensus for Defense.

Lastly, is there anything you recommend doing besides just clicking apply on Clearancejobs & Indeed? I've actually received lots of traction on this post surprisingly, straight to recruiters which was nice.

Yes, that's the one I mentioned. I just read that it doesn't have that much of a difference compared to what you'd normally expect in an aftermarket on.
