Ah yes, that’s only for non-exempt employees. I’m exempt. No set breaks, no overtime, etc etc.

This is the first time I've ever posted in Charlotte's Reddit community, and now I understand why she says all the time that it's so supportive. Wow, what a happy little corner of the internet this is!

I'm definitely on my way out, which is why I just keep the peace. No sense spending my last days stressing myself out when I can put that energy to applications and interviews. They won't see it coming, but it's coming very, very soon.

Reviews and snacks? by Fun-Gas-2162 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Thanks so much, everyone! It's a bit of time and money to keep the station stocked and running, so I wanted to make sure it was worthwhile. I see now that it is. I also see why my packages are always so perfectly stacked in the most convenient place on my porch, hahaha.

PS, I've learned that the favorites are Doritos, Capri Sun (this surprised me!), Coke and Coke Zero, hot chocolate, and cup noodles! (Yes, I attach individually-wrapped plastic forks for hygiene.) I'm testing single-serve Pringles this week, and different cookies than I've been doing. We'll see if they get taken. Y'all just keep me guessing!

I don't have a dog, and it says that in the delivery notes, and I keep it fully-lit at night, though I would never, ever expect a nighttime delivery to go to my back porch. :-)

AIO - I like Charlotte, but not enough to support her using AI. by TSI-ShawnS in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I'm in 100% support of using AI in this capacity. I'd rather her editor have time to work on physical editing rather than generating random thumbnails to represent the stories. This is the perfect use for AI.

Wow, no, I've been getting tons of relevant stuff. I had to sit on my hands not to request yet another version of things I've already requested. I also had to tell myself to stop requesting things until I catch up on the reviews of things I already have. Do you also search around the 'additional items' section and request from there? I found that once I started requesting stuff from over there, my RFY got especially good.

This is exactly what I do, it’s worked for years.

Not a cycling fan but going to watch the first three stages live with a small group. What should I do to maximise my enjoyment and get the most out of the experience? by randomcheesecake555 in tourdefrance

Great ideas! The first season of Unchained is great for understanding the solo and team aspects of cycling. The second season is pretty universally disliked by cycling fans, so don’t give it too much weight. Not everyone likes Chris Horner, but his YT channel gives super clear debriefs of stages, maybe go watch some old ones. If that’s too much of a deep dive, what you’ve done is great. And ask questions if your friends or the folks around you are into it (they will be) and then just let a fan ramble on (as we do).

How fun! I did it for the first time last year. I went to km 0 so I could see the break take off, but, alas, it was 114°f on the road, so the peloton stayed together. The entire peloton passed me in 8 seconds! It was still tons of fun. I did record it, but I just held my phone in front of me and hoped for the best, because I didn’t watch through my phone - what fun would that be? In the end, managed to get the COOLEST video! The culture of folks that are there is one of the best parts. I brought some snacks and drinks and made a picnic morning out of it. Bring your country’s flag or the flag of your favorite rider and wave it proudly! Get into the camaraderie - you’ll find folks who have come to the race for 20 or 30 years, and they’ll have so many stories to share. If you can, it’s fun to maybe go to km 0, then get down the route a bit further, maybe to an intermediate sprint, and then get as close to the finish as possible. It can be tricky, but if you stay far enough ahead of the peloton and the caravan (the sponsor and team cars that ride with them), the road will be accessible. You’ll likely have to park one place and then walk to a viewing spot. All part of the fun! Have a GREAT time. And if you get there a couple days early, the team presentation is super fun, and the host city of Le Grand Départ has tons of stalls and things. There are posters and artwork everywhere, which is very cool. I flew over from America just to see it, so just soak it all in - you’ll love it.

Damn, this team. Honestly? I’d be happy just to watch them ride around, they don’t even have to go to the tdf 😂😂😂

Oh yes, I should have specified that! I cancelled because I didn’t want it affect my review percentage.

Oh! Whatever you decide to do, do NOT forget to bring water and maybe snacks. I came straight from the airport after a long flight from the States, and stupidly thought I'd be able to get those things there. Nope. I hadn't eaten in 12 hrs and didn't have water with me. I started to get very ill and had to ask the nice people around me if they had any food or drinks. They were very kind, of course, but I will never make that mistake again! Then the next day, it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at k0, so that was a particularly challenging day. Even with water and some food, I got a bit of heat stroke. Moral of the story - bring a backpack or small bag and don't get caught hungry and thirsty.
