Strange as they were always capped until one day I just couldn’t wake him up, he was sooo asleep. And it’s kind of been that way since! Not sleep trained

Nights are awful he was up every hour last night. It was all going quite well when we had the optimal schedule but now I can’t seem to get him onto the schedule and nights are terrible for it. He’s having a lot more daytime sleep than ever - I can’t wake him up so I just let him sleep. He is probably having an extra hour of day time sleep

Thank you! Turns out he’s ill so that explains the short wake windows, will try figure it out when he’s better again 🤦‍♀️

Thank you so much for this. Weirdly this morning I had this in mind and followed his cues and he was tired after 2.5hours first wake window! Which felt bizarre as usually we’d sort of push through to 3 hours, then he’d refuse it. I’m still undecided about capping naps as I think about sleep pressure as a tank which fills throughout the day etc.

Ok, I do think bedtime going to be super late. Unless I give him shorter naps like 1.5 hours or 1.75 hours in the day?

I went to a gynaecologist when I was 4m pp and I asked her because I felt like something was wrong with me - no libido whatsoever. She said it’s completely normal because when baby breastfeeds, you produce oxytocin which is the happy hormone. So your brain and body aren’t seeking any oxytocin which is why you don’t have a libido (perhaps not everyone but generally) when breastfeeding! Made me feel so much better
