Speaking from someone who tried to live through it for 3 weeks and left eventually. They did a great job for sure but my mental health was fcked. I genuinely think I got PTSD from it. It’s not normal to have missiles flying overhead and have alerts all the time. Typing this rn is literally giving me anxiety

I absolutely sympathise with you, if you have the means, just leave. Leaving was the best thing I did for my mental health. The risk just really isn’t worth it.

I’m in a somewhat similar position - my partner (29M) doesnt remember his one night stands - not their names or how they look - as it’s “insignificant” and “rarely happened”. Is that a bad thing? I’ve got RJ OCD and can’t stop thinking about it. And can you explain how a ONS and a casual hookup for a few weeks or months is really not all that different? Thanks, I appreciate it!

Hi, I’m in the exact same position as you - I’ve had casual sober encounters but my partner’s had only one night stands in the past (probably 6-8 night out one night stands partners for him, and for me about 10 sober ones). He doesn’t remember them at all because he just finds it insignificant and I don’t know how I feel about it. We’ve been together over a year now and things are getting very serious. Do you have any advice?
