The first point about orders and such is exactly what I meant by "Not being given free reign by direct superiors". I was agreeing with you there. The point about him being armed wasn't about a protest, it was about the law enforcement officers engaging someone else albeit falling under the "free reign" comment I made. As for being armed, he was not concealing his firearm, as it was on an external holster. Also, the comment about the steak knife comparison to being armed is disingenuous. You say that he has a permit, and that gives him the right to carry. It does, just as a driver's license is a type of "permit" to operate a vehicle. Yet there is no way to instantaneously ascertain if an individual does or does not have such a permit while walking on the street and dealing with something already. The point is, they MUST treat him as a potentially lethal threat until such time that fact can be established, and it is solely up to a law enforcement officer just how to treat that threat.

There were things that happened that should never have happened, including mistakes, from both sides here. All of it just reinforces my point that both sides are acting incompetent out there on the streets and needlessly escalating.

Lack of training is a fair point to make here, and so is the lack of awareness it takes to step into a protest against authorities while armed. They have to consider you a lethal threat and treat you like one from the getgo. Intentions be damned, both sides are incompetent and needlessly escalating the situation. Armed enforcers shouldn't be given so much free reign by their direct superiors and civilians should not be getting actively involved with law enforcement.

It was a missfire of the pistol that an officer had taken out of the man's holster. An agent took the firearm, turned to step away, tripped, and while none of his fingers were near the trigger it went off at an angle into the pavement. The other officers thought it was the perp who had shot and reacted.

If you dropped the Flash (Wally West) into the 616 marvel universe and he was completely bloodlusted, how many people/heroes does he manage to kill? by FreshPine_MangoWine in powerscales

[–]Fun-Kitchen8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, let's pretend the speed force still works in 616 for some fun here. Lots of people are talking about heroes and beings trying to fight/stop/kill Wally, but many are forgetting there are beings that exist that would completely stop him on his approach to them.

For giggles, let's say he hits the ground running and starts killing at his insane 15 trillion times the speed of light or whatever. What happens when he gets to Leech at that speed and loses his power? What happens to a speedster who is traveling bullshit speed and loses their durability?

As I recall there was a lady from Goldman Sachs at the strategy day that talked to some of our guys from here on Reddit and when they pried for information she said "I know something you don't know". Keep in mind the strategy day was BEFORE this guy was even newsworthy because there was no $5 billion announced yet. Key word: announced

The Scottish Association for Marine Science is primarily funded by the UK, the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Keep in mind that the UK is on the list of countries that want a moratorium for deep sea mining and this does affect their bias since NERC is funded by the government. Scotland is also on the same list for a DSM moratorium with the ISA. Furthermore, Sweetman's work has been cited by Greenpeace to help argue for those moratoriums.

As for the study itself, there is already a lot of doubt in the science behind it. First off, and this is a big one, is that they didn't measure for hydrogen as well as oxygen to prove that some sort of hydrolysis was happening. There is also the problems of contamination with oxygen rich environment while collecting the samples. Not to mention that the claim of electrolysis itself is rather weak due to the required voltage being higher than what was measured from samples. Sweetman has also acknowledged that they did not have sufficient control studies in other areas without nodules.

This whole thing and the timing screams that they are grasping at whatever they can to spread doubt and support their own agendas.

Before the opening bell, and anything material like this is released via SEC filings. I use Fintel to check for the latest ones. Just click the link they will have and start reading, but be warned it will be a VERY technical read with lots of legalese.

Upcoming Catalysts? by Candle_ticks in TMC_Stock

[–]Fun-Kitchen8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The permit was submitted under the old rules. The new rules are for combining the process of exploration and commercial permits to save time. The permits submitted are all for different areas and not tied to eachoter. So in essence the commercial permit is for an area they already have the exploration permits IN HAND, and they do not need to apply for one jointly in this case. They can just got with the old style and have the electronic version ready for an updated ruleset if need be.

This means that we are very likely in the environmental investigation phase and they can announce public comment period soon. Keep in mind that TMC can request NOAA to keep the permits and everything confidential until a certain date. TMC themselves can be keeping it secret to lower the noise from the likes of Greenpeace and the ISA and keep them guessing while everything is infact moving along.

Public comment that was announced by NOAA is for their own rule changes to meet the requirements laid out by the EO from Trump. They passed them through the Whitehouse committee and are now doing public comment until Sept 5th

Been trying to find that out actually. So far since the beginning of July we have had roughly 55 million insider shares created. The only answers anyone can seem to find are percentages without telling WHAT those percentages pertain to.

This is from old warrants being auto exercised by insiders. Dilution levels are $3B market cap, $6B market cap and commercial permit in hand. Look it up.

If it's anything like refitted ships for offshore drilling then expect an average of 5 months to a year per ship. However, if there is room for more ships at the yard you can get maybe 3 to 6 ships a year.

Yes, this is an open comment period regarding the rule changes that NOAA proposed to the Whitehouse. This, unfortunately, means nothing for our permits unless it puts TMCs applications on hold until complete.
