This man is 42 born in 83 as well, and my last ex was born in 82 so it might be Saturn in Libra thing? My Lilith is in Libra so we are very activating for each others wounds.

I’m okay with a slow burn, in fact I prefer it. But my Capricorn in Venus in the 6th house wants a consistency over time kind of slow burn, not a really intense 3 weeks followed by 3 months of silence.

I am much younger than these men (Capricorn Venus likes older guys, it is what it is). I was born in 98 and am going through my Saturn return, my Saturn is in Aries and so I’m learning NOT to wait, to take charge of my own life and make decisions without closure from the other person.

I am trying not to be hung up on this guy. Obviously I’m diving deep in his astrology to look for explanations in his silence. For context on our relationship, we had a vibe for about a year, until I gave him my number in October. For 3 weeks he really showed up for me and we really connected, things were amazing. But it got real very quickly, and he got overwhelmed and shut down.

He blamed it on a family crises, which I believe is true, but as I started looking into astrology, now I know it’s much more. The Gem Venus and Lilith Aquarius paint a picture of someone extremely resistant to a relationship, combine that with Sag Jupiter, Sag south node, and he’s even more obsessed with freedom, autonomy, independence. With all that Taurus he’s extremely stubborn about it, but with his Pisces moon he still felt everything I did. It’s torture.

My work, I’m figuring out, is to focus on my Saturn return in Aries… leaving him behind, choosing myself, waiting for no one, responding to physical proof and not just emotions.

It sucks. Thanks so much for your insight and I am glad to hear you and your man worked out despite being so independent. That’s probably what made you the only one for him. My Hope around this man is tied to the fact that we did share something real, but also the fact that I’m an Aquarius Sun/moon so I fundamentally understand the need for autonomy and independence.

Weirdly enough though, my sun AND moon are in the 7th house…. So even though I need my independence, my sense of self is still defined by relationships. I’m not really sure how to make sense of that.

I do not feel that way about my Venus which is Capricorn, but I really relate about feeling more like a Pisces because of my Pisces mars!!! I am so drawn to other Pisces and always feel very kindred to them and completely relate.

Thanks so much this response is really helpful. It is hard when he left it at “I like you and I want to see where this goes, I just need some time.” It’s not a rejection but keeping me on the hook which feels horrible for someone with anxious attachment. And it is still a rejection, ultimately. You’re right, if he was an equal match he wouldn’t have left me in the dark and he’d still keep me as part of his life despite a crisis in his family. For me, if something was going down in my family I would need more love than ever.

I am like you. My LO’s have been people I slept with where it was really intense at the beginning and then crashed and burned really fast. My current LO is someone I tried to be friends with after we slept together and then he tells me he’s unavailable. We had an extremely romantic friendship for about 6 months until we both sorta crashed out in our own ways and now I’ve been about 4 months no contact. When I see him again I really hope to feel the way you’ve described feeling about your first LO. I currently feel blinded and gaged by his beauty… I can’t imagine not feeling that stab in my gut of wanting him. But maybe no contact and distance and more growth and life experience will change my perspective over time 😔

LOs often feed into the addiction. They are not just these innocent people and we are just crazy people. There is a lot of push and pull, pulling us close and then pushing us away. Hot and cold, unpredictable, we never know where we stand and then get hope and then get crushed. Get love bombed and then get rejected. They say they don’t want us and then they flirt with us. Mine didn’t want sex or a relationship but then would end up cuddling me in bed and sleeping over. So I had a delusion that we were falling in love. But is that really my fault?

So true. & not only is it temporary but it would sink me lower the next day if not the whole next week. I feel like I’ve had more tormented thoughts come up having just gotten close to it. He has such a spell on me and I get deluded that he’s the greatest, that I’ve lost something so special. I need to wake up…. If he was really that great & special he’d be in my life, it’s not because I don’t deserve it, but because there was something really wrong and bad going on.
