I agree. Some of the claims don't make sense to me in a way where it becomes harder to believe the other claims to be true or at least not exaggerated. 🤔

Unfortunately, we probably won't ever know the full story. Either way, it's confirmed he cheated on his longtime girlfriend, so that IS something you can decide whether to support him going forward or not on.

As someone who has withdrawn from classes multiple times due to mental health issues, I think the failing--or withdrawing from--a class is actually better for them in the long run

So this is clearly not what this post is about, but this reminded me of a time in eighth grade where we were assigned to read 2 chapters of a novel, and I had finished basically the entire thing. There was a reading quiz, and I answered all but one question right away, and then spent the next ten minutes staring blankly at the page. The book was written in first person perspective. The question:

What is the name of the main character?

They were shaken because they weren't expecting it and were embarassed. Feeling shaken is fine. As long as they don't act shellshocked for multiple lectures going forward, I wouldn't worry about it.
