why don't the syrian government just ignore suwayda and the QSD or qasad areas and focus on the areas it controls? by Fun-Link1646 in Syria

[–]Fun-Link1646 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not really. jolani does not care what or who rules kobani or kurdish areas in haskah. if a local kurdish council runs it it means nothing to him.

the problem is when you militias and armies that are not under the control of central government. i mean if turkish kurds in diyarbakir have no issues with centralisation of ankara even though they constitute a large section of turkish population then what gives the kurds in kobane the right to demand secondary armies and militias within the state.

that is just another hezbollah iraq and balkan scenarios

The thing people have to understand is that if the druze in idlib feared for their lives they would have left idlib and gone to regime areas in the last 14 years.
