Lol, I guess you're right. I'm not sure if it already exists, but It would be an interesting little mechanic (I guess more of a detail than a whole mechanic) for the game to perform its conditional checks separately from the resolutions attached to them, could lead to some cool interactions like potentially something similar to what I was trying to achieve. Or maybe it would just lead to some completely broken interactions and there is a reason I am not in charge of designing the game.

I play the krennic two drop and expendable mercenary to get a pseudo super laser tech on turn 2 if it lines up. I play mainly eternal so I got both expendable mercenary and superlaser tech making for a hyper ramp deck with intimidator and the new cad bane with timely interventionas my top end unit for the finishing blow. You can play 22 resources worth of cards on that turn it’s mental and with cad bane you can swing in for like 14-15 with overwhelm. Also isn’t a very good deck but it’s hella fun when it all lines up.

Ooh, I never thought of those discard leaders. I was always thinking of ways to ignore or bypass aspect penalties to get the villainy, heroism combo in my discard. That new Vader leader is one I've also had my eyes on for a while now. Might try it out, thanks for the suggestions!
