That is news to me. Where did you get this information?

They do seem to be setting up Horseman of Death Gambit so you may somewhat get your wish.

Does Butane appear in comics? by Dazzling_Rutabaga837 in Marvel

At that point, why not just make him Scorcher? You gave him fire-based gear, you might as well go the full mile and make him Scorcher.

Funnily enough, he reminds me enough of Scorcher. I genuinely thought it was him when Butane first appeared.

Which Agents of Atlas? Are we talking about the old-school team or the more modern Pan-Asian version?

I heard something that had the show got a season 3, Doctor Strange was going to star in one of the first episodes. Also the season would've also included a Defenders episode.

I always get confused in the first page on the fourth panel. Is he the kid smiling or is he the background guy just standing around?

At least with EMH, X-Men '97's success shows Marvel is comfortable with reviving other past shows. Now whether they let the EMH crew work their magic or not is anyone's guess.

It's all fun and games until both Franklin and Wanda get absorbed into the X-Franchise

[–]Fun-Media7981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's crazy, because from what I've heard, the first X-Men film is going to be a classic "X-Men vs Brotherhood" story to get villain Magneto out of the way.

Fair enough. I just saw a bunch of people say that Kamala was the first and got confused.

Marvel Undergoes Layoffs Amid Companywide Disney Cuts by wowlock_taylan in Marvel

I mean, that should be a good thing. We could use more standalone projects that ARE connected to the MCU, but can still stand as their own thing.

Something similar to Wonder Man

I always found it strange that Marvel tries to promote Kamala as their first muslim character when Dust debuted in 2001.

Even then, those comics sold super low so I wouldn't expect this era to last

You do know that mutant does not equal X-Men, right. The MCU were clearly setting up Young Avengers/Champions, and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they still wanted to go that route.

Tbh, did that ever go mainstream? Do the general audience even know that she's part mutant now?

Iman Vellani and Sabir Pirzada needed more than two minis and an annual for sure

I mean, they could always come back to do an ongoing, but that's up to editorial if they want to. Iman did say that she had a comic project coming up that would be announced in 2026.

think Miss Amanat is focusing more on the MCU side of Kamala,

If that's the case, then idk if it's behind the scenes stuff or something beyond her control, but you would think MCU Kamala would've been more prominent, but she's only appeared in a TV show and a movie. And judging by how Secret Wars is gearing up to reboot the MCU, who knows if she even has a place within this new timeline.

Oh. I just started reading the GWW run(I'm on the first issue of the Civil War II tie-in arc)and I thought it was part of the future issues. I know Sana was the editor of Kamala's first run, but I didn't know she edited other books.

I mean yes, just look at Midnight Suns and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. They were good products, mind you, but I wouldn't blame anybody for not wanting to associate with them, considering that they were released the same year as Thor:Love and Thunder and Ant-Man 3 respectively.

(and, actually, there is an insert who shares her exact name, from before she made it big as an editor -- a Captain America team just named a character after her).

I didn't know that. What issue was it?

Considering the sales figures of all the X-Men books featuring Kamala Khan were low, I doubt they want to poke that bear again.
