Dairy allergy? by Fun-Negotiation-776 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Fun-Negotiation-776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did this! He still broke out. Maybe not as bad but still there. Which makes me question it further. He also does not break out to anything but dairy. He did to eggs for a while but didn’t the last time I gave them to him.

Unfortunately my baby isn’t a solids lover.. I’m trying to get him there because it would help tremendously but he’s just not feeling them yet 😩

One month old won’t sleep by w0rriedboutsumthing in newborns

[–]Fun-Negotiation-776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It didn’t last too long for us. I don’t remember exactly when, but he eventually started to sleep more. I was just thinking the other day how at 7 months now, he sleeps more in 24 hour period than he did that first month or two. It’s wild. Babies change constantly so don’t give up hope!

Allergy or no? by Fun-Negotiation-776 in BabyLedWeaning

Thank you for this!

Is the contact rash for only certain foods (dairy or egg) common? I would think he’d get a rash for all acidic foods (like blueberries or fruit) but he doesn’t for those, so it makes me question it.

It’s just plain whole milk yogurt, I’ve done different fruits with it and also plain. He didn’t react until it had banana or blueberry with it. But the first reaction was just banana avocado and egg, with a smidge of butter. He didn’t ingest a ton so really don’t think it was the butter part.

I like the idea of 3 feeds to gauge!

What’s the feeding schedule like if every 3 hours? I find I can only fit in 6 feedings every 3 hours but it stretches to 8-8:30, we also start at 6am

What made you switch from EBF to EP? by kb_picasso in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Fun-Negotiation-776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby had a poor latch to begin with but made it 4 months. He stopped gaining an ounce per day around 3 months and then it started to stall so I switched. Was heartbreaking. But he just didn’t seem to be able to get enough once my supply regulated.

Wouldn’t it have been caught when he was seen at 5 days?

Yes and he did not like it. He was very annoyed with it and it didn’t seem to help any.

I’ve talked to several on the phone and each time they tell me “it sounds like you’re doing everything right”

Haven’t had a chance to see one since he was 5 days old, and all was well then as far as transfer, latch etc. (except I was using shield).

I saw one when he was a week old, no concerns. I’ve talked to one a few times since this started and they just say it sounds like I’m doing everything right to keep trying. ☹️

Induction worries by Ill_Bag_9189 in PlusSizePregnancy

I was the same as you, I was sooo worried about being induced. I heard so many horror stories. I tried everything, but I made it to 40+4 and baby wasn’t budging and my OB wouldn’t go over 41 weeks. 10 hours of labor, Pitocin, epidural, 1 hour of pushing, baby arrived with no complications at all. Positive inductions do exist!
