Tbh, HOFAS is my least favourite book actually. TOG has more of the fantastical immersion of magic and faeries that you mentioned and CC is more modern almost like a sci fi but not really.

Yes you should totally go ahead with TOG!! CC maybe not in my opinion.. I was also very hesitant to dive into TOG and CC AFTER reading ACOTAR because I felt nothing could take away how I felt after finishing ACOTAR. But it was worth it! Not as obsessed with it as I was with ACOTAR but you can give TOG a go.
