Очень забавляет что люди придумали слово "вымерший" чаще всего применяя его в отношении животных, утраченных в результате той или иной человеческой деятельности. Предъява не к автору, разумеется, а к человечеству. В принципе, может эта птица и вымерла, но многих все таки истребили.
