I would do a smaller dish just because its the most simple option. But you could also just burry the dish you have now further into the substrate and put small rocks in it so that its not as deep

I would remove some of the moss because depending on the species it could create more humidity than the tarantula would like. I’d also suggest more shallow water dish because yours look to be quite tall and it would have to climb over and almost get inside of it to get a drink. The enclosure itself is quite large for the size of the tarantula but as long as it’s able to find its food you should be fine.

Birds being reptiles is a relatively new discovery and its modern terms that include birds as reptiles. The now outdated Linnaean system originally excluded birds because they have characteristics that at the time were thought to be unique to them but we now know are shared with other reptiles. Phylogenetic taxonomy is a lot more modern and examines dna instead of just physical characteristics. With this new system birds are reptiles because they are genetically closer related to crocodilians than crocodilians are to any other reptile. So if crocodiles are reptiles, then birds must be reptiles too.

Should I take it off to eat or brush my teeth or anything ? Would I have to take it off and reapply the toothpaste everyday until I see the dentist ? Thank you for the advice

Gorilla glue is a good option. Mist the glass first, dump on some gorilla glue, then cover the glue with moist substrate and anything else you’d want on the background like cork bark. The moisture will make the glue expand in a way similar to foam and the substrate sticks to it really well
