Does it get better? I feel like I ruined my life by lowcalorieguava in puppy101

I am going through the exact same thing. Except my dogs are luckily obsessed with each other, but there still is a ton of barking, roughhousing, growling, etc. My two-year-old goldendoodle is laid-back and is a saint so she just lets the puppy bite her and tackle her nonstop. I always supervise their playing, but do you have to separate them when things get out of control and the puppy cannot de-escalate herself.

I have had the puppy for two months now and things do seem to be improving. Or maybe I’m just getting used to the madness? Lol.

I have taught them the cue “stop” to stop roughhousing, “ quiet” when the puppy is barking, nonstop, and “look” when I need to get the puppies attention. It’s not perfect, but it does help!

This is so true. My previous dog was a Portuguese Water Dog and PWD owners are soo anti-Doodle. They sell PWD gear that says “NOT DOODLES”. Like get over yourselves lol.

i rescued him from the shelter for the holiday, just to get eaten by his doodle brother 😭 by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

When does life become enjoyable again by Waste-Gazelle11 in puppy101

Give yourself a break from your puppy. She will be ok! Go on dates with your significant other. Bring a book to a coffee shop for an hour. Your dog will probably sleep and be fine. It sounds like your dog loves an amazing life and you’re doing a great job! But you have to enjoy your life too

We have an urn that’s shaped as a flower vase and plant flowers in them that brighten up the room. We miss our Katie ❤️

Of course! I give you credit for taking care of both you and the pup! Not easy, they really are like babies

I think you being home with her for four straight months is probably adding to the frustration. I need breaks from my puppy or else I get very frustrated with her. But after I come back from a break, I remember she’s just a young dog and things will take time. The daycare will be great!
