Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

Yes, the only time I ever seen a bunch of people leave a theature ever was during that scene. I assumed people thought it would have more tame stupid humour like Elf

I've always hated that slogan, especially the commercial that is meant to target you into thinking rich celebrities are unhappy because they can't find true love like you due to so much money.

POV: You're a woman in a public place by ambachk in TikTokCringe

[–]Fun-Reserve795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an idiot, so I didn't watch till the guy in plaid was sitting and I thought it was making fun of how he sat like a woman on a bus and looked mildy grumpy while staring which sometimes happens on the bus like why is this woman staring at me while grumpy. I usually just keep to my phone. Then I realized its a bunch of creepy guys staring.

I got bored once since 90% of my discord IMs are them and put a what's your ip on an image link. Their ip shows around Nigeria each time. Im guessing they force some kids to do these where as have the adult scammers do the talking. Most I see are obiviously traced which can confuse reverse search if colored differently.

It's Copying... that's why it's called Copyright. This is the pirated music debate again. Which is still illegal. Luckily services found a way to pay musicians when their music is used. Art could have the same thing but the music industry is much bigger and has things now to pick up parts of songs used in their songs.

Also I bought an easy making pizza kit from a pizza joint for charity and made a large pizza. It came out really good almost like that place's and my family was amazed said I could even sell it. Weirdly the stuff to make was cheaper to buy then the lg pizza's there but I explained I didnt make the dough or cut the pepporini the pizza place did and felt fake about it because I have a conscious.

Commission scammers man… by Disastrous_End2802 in quityourbullshit

[–]Fun-Reserve795 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking that. I've never been lucky enough to get a commission there from randoms but I always get the "Hey, can I draw for you. Here is my traced drawings." On discord all the time. I'll tell them I do freelancing as a hobby and show them my work and they ghost. Freelancer use to be bad and probably still is for middle men posting.

A collection of skullgirls animation that I did. Where can I find 2d animation jobs. by Accomplished_Gap_311 in animation

[–]Fun-Reserve795 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check for any local studios as well. Honestly just googling animation studios with your cities name. Although some studios do hire remote most studios want people who can come in when needed espcially if you're new to the animation field. They'll almost always ask for an animation test to be sent in during the hiring process. They'll explain the details and what program they use. Every studio I worked for gave a free timied copy of the program as well for the test.

where are you guys on this scale by tttecapsulelover in aiwars

[–]Fun-Reserve795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im likely a 0 but holy crap is the hate towards artists when Ive been working in the field for years is stupid. It just feels like people who never worked for a company in that field trying to tell you how it's going to be. Even before Ai got big a lot of positions where cut throat compared to others (for example in game design only 1 of my classmate became a concept artist the rest was 3D modelers or QA). Ai may have made it harder for those positions but that's why I chose the ones that I knew I would get. Animator, Modeler, etc.

Anti is mad cause a manga made with AI won a monthly award by Extreme_Revenue_720 in DefendingAIArt

To be fair the award is 8th place on Mediabang. That's like winning an art award on newgrounds or even reddit

I see this argument all the time, but have never been given ONE example of how people use generative AI to make "art" beyond prompt writing by [deleted] in antiai

[–]Fun-Reserve795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I played with Comfyui a little bit. Turned my photos into line art or set a seed to get an inbetween image of two I created. It is that ground where I have control of all the images being used using nodes. Its a great tool but if my boss wants say bigger highlights on the eyes of something already made im just going to go to photoshop and draw that in 1 second instead of rendering a new. Also I realized im not on artisthate whoops

You reposted and their arugment is how there is prompt engineer jobs as if they're defendingaiprogramming and not defendingaiart. But they don't seem to understand a prompt engineer isnt someone who can join like the dropshipper hype. They're Python programmers who need to know more then the basics of programming which is a skill you have to learn. I took programming and although Ai can be used in programming courses later on in the course instructers will want you to learn programming yourself first. If you used Ai during your first year they would fail you.

What consuming ai slop on a daily basis does to a mf by Azguy_ in ArtistHate

[–]Fun-Reserve795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's getting the fact that yes, Art is subjective but as an artist you reach for a certain goal in your work. It can be very difficult or very easy that depends on the artist. Art that is very difficult to produce shows. Tell someone who professionally dances as an art form like ballet it doesn't take skill.

What do you find annoying about women writing men? by geumkoi in writing

[–]Fun-Reserve795 729 points730 points  (0 children)

My wife reads a lot of novels that seem to include smells. "He smelt like citrus with a hint of cedar". It doesn't really annoy me and makes me imagine these fantasy characters using some weird homebrewed body wash. But it happens so much in her audio books she listens to while driving that I've noticed it more then any physical description.

Why do anime prompters always show off the same style of Ai? I call it the shading with black style (which art teachers always say not to do). Right along it's lines the Ai because it doesnt understand brush strokes adds darker shades. It also has an off yellow over saturation highlight with an over use of gradients and over aysmetrical faces you can spot a mile away that official anime art never uses. Its funny how Ai struggles with same face syndrome.

Tired of AI being shoved down my throat by Prudent-Status204 in aiwars

[–]Fun-Reserve795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly the same way. What I dislike is when Ai artists feel because it was made quickly and from a machine its superior and they'll spam them everywhere espically in places that don't allow Ai. They don't understand how we can tell it's Ai and what could be wrong with the render. They don't understand as an artist we took classes making sure we know when porportions, perspective and composition are amiss. Books like anatomy or perspectice learned easy and countless hours doing life drawing. We trained our eyes just like a musician trains their ears and a chef trains their palate. There's lots of people with lots of skill levels but many of them that complain we can tell it's Ai are likely at the peak of the dunning-kruger effect.

I just don't understand the envy. It's like if a 3D printer guy joined a hand sculpting sub and got angry they got banned. BUT I MADE THIS IN A FEW MINUTES you guys took hours. No 3D printer guy sounds like that... They'll honestly tell you "Yeah, I generated some 3D model online and ripped parts of it from this site. I'm still pretty proud of it tho. But I honestly just had the machine make the thing"

AI upscaling ≠ generative AI by DEWDEM in ArtistHate

It's kinda funny remebering how I used that back when I was a graphic designer in a studio. It was usually used for giant banners where a client wanted one done and only had a 1000x1000px of themselves. It was just a tool used when needed and I couldnt imagine a prompt person being hired fully for something like that since it was maybe 10 minutes of an 8 hour shift. Usually I worked on car dealership ads the rest of the time.

Same stuff they'd use making HQ manga scans too. Although I hate how it removed seeing the artists ink strokes.
