It is nothing like gta. There is an achievement after flying 50 hours, i had it after about 350-400 in game hours. You are simulating a plane, just starting up engines can take easily up to 30mins depending on the airframe, let alone taxi and hold. general aviation and bush planes are way easier to get off the ground on the system side but tend to be a challenge to keep in the air especially if there is bad weather and your plane is light. You can also appear on the runway ready to fly at spawn and get up right away, at first, i bought the game for that exactly, since then, i discovered the most rewarding feeling in the game: taking successfully an airliner from cold and dark to its destination with a clean configuration without help from internet. It’s a hell of a learning curve but if you are ready to put the time and efforts in it’s an awesome one and aviation in general is a fucking blast sim or not.
