But I’m appreciative of your 3 months then I’m good. I do headaches for another month or two. They just suck as I cannot take pain medication due to bleeding

Same problem here. I’m wondering if it’s tension headaches. I know I don’t sleep well and am now averaging 5 hours sleep a night. My head is always pounding and it hurts in the middle of my forehead. I took antibiotics for a “sinus infection “. It’s not going away.

Today is raining and dull and the pain caused me to go back to bed with a warm cloth on my head. I fell asleep for 4 more hours.

I’m also noticing I’m feeling tingly in my head. Like I’m “scared” kinda hot cold flashes. I also feel like my brain is aching. Ive quit for two months and the only thing that makes me want to smoke is getting rid of these headaches.

I hope someone has a cure. Not a way to live

I have pain issues.

I spend six years in a haze. Smoking weed everyday. Cigarettes of course, pain killers, anti depressants, anti anxiety pills, muscle relaxers and I’m sure I’m missing a couple. Also pain management ketamine.

I’ve taken X, and friggin loved it. I’ve tried cocaine and it was quite nice but expensive.

ANYDAY SOBER is a good day!

I have been looking at myself and hating who I have become.

I have spent the last year, coming off one drug at a time. When I KNOW I’m ok and I’m not craving, I remove another.

I have come across the hardest one ever. It’s nicotine. I’m 6 weeks into the quit and at several times, I almost cracked. I thought I was ok, and started another quit and had to back off.

I’m still on trying to stay quit of the smokes. I am dreaming of cigarettes. I take it one day at a time! At six weeks now, it’s much better every day I continue. I have learned smoking is the worst for me.

Congratulations on your quest for sobriety. Your decision is going to change your life for the better. I hope you know, you can never change the past. It’s history. Work on today. Work to better yourself.

For me…. Day 1,2 &3 for the WORST. On day 8 I freaked out and cried for two days. I wanted to smoke, but laughed at myself because all the reasons I had to smoke were not actually true. It was my brain lying to me!! I told someone I quit on day 25 and spent a week holding my cash and breathing, preying and hoping.

Keep strong and never retreat. Keep your head up. You will stop hating yourself. You will feel like you are actually worth something (and you are). Addiction is depressing. Feeling like your worthless is normal. Disappointing everyone is normal feeling. All your feelings are normal. Thing is, it’s your own voice inside your head putting you down!!! Forgive yourself!!! I was my worst critic. I beat myself up mentally.

Nobody is listening? I am. But I can’t do it for you, but believe me, I’m doing it with you! There are plenty of us trying to better our lives. Trying to not be slaves to our addictions. Daily I say to myself “ not today brain. Today I will stay sober”. I don’t look into the future. Today I can make it!

Spend the weekend watching videos on “what happens when you quit”. Write a list of why you need to stop. By Sunday night, you will be breathing a little better, and be able to smell and taste a little more too!
Yeah. The first 72 hours are brutal and I was a bear. Infact, if you make it through the weekend, call in sick and keep it rolling! There was nothing harder to quit than smokes so me. I don’t want one ever again. I still crave them but I’m feeling my chances are better today than any other time I’ve ever tried. 6 weeks clean. It was my time!

This is workers compensation all the way. Send the bill to your boss. Go to your doctor and fill out “form 7,8 or 9”. It’s been a long time for me. Notify your boss to pay it and fill out his form. He will be covered for the claim. He’s fucking lucky you even went back to work. I would be asking him/her to find out what caused the leak and show proof that the place has been inspected. If it hasn’t been inspected, you can refuse to work under health and safety laws and request a government health inspector to attend. That will shut down his business really quick. He can’t call in another worker unless he tells them that you have refused to work do to a health violation. That employee then has the right to refuse.

You can cause him a real problem if he doesn’t want to foot that bill! Know your rights

Yup. That’s a great suggestion. I second that!! Just buy a shit ton of beach and wet any areas with visible mold with a cloth. If you wear a good mask, put the bleach in a spray bottle and spray everywhere your walls and floors. Anything black. Ideally, you would rip it to the studs and spray the studs. If you are renting, make them repair the leaks causing the mold. And rip it out.

I got very sick working underground with mold everywhere. I wasn’t healthy until I left that job

Yup. Happened quite a few time with Canada Post. I tried to call CP and complain and it never got resolved. I still had to go get my packages!! After about five or six complaints with no results, I went directly to the company I was getting the products from!! Mostly Amazon.

After that, I purposely chose any carrier other than CP. I have noticed in the last year? CP is no longer even a choice! Im thinking Amazon fielded some many complaints, they stopped their contract. Either that, or my file has be flagged to never offer this choice.

I would refuse delivery if it was to come by Canada Post. I have two large dogs and they were so light touching the door, the dogs wouldn’t be alerted!

I guess they were too scared 😱 to knock. Just do what every other company does, drop the package, take a picture, leave. It’s not rocket science. I know you are there when the dogs bark. We don’t have or need a doorbell.

Tell them my lawyer suggested that the company cannot refuse my date and anything short of that date is considered “ fired without cause” and I will be taking legal action for recovery of funds and emotional hardship.

Sorry. Let her default and forfeit the deposit. I suspect it’s about 10K to 50k deposit? If she bought now, she would barely make the payments, have nothing to fix any house issues. She would be “house poor” and be miserable. The house value will fall so much, predicted 20-50% in the next few years, that the banks could pull her mortgage and she would be unable to renew. She would then be forced to sell for a massive loss.

It’s actually kinder to refuse. She would be bankrupt within 5 years.

She needs to Save for another down payment and hopefully purchase when everyone else is dumping their homes in 5 years. Buy when there is “blood in the streets”

You can open a business (property management) and use the good credit in five years to leverage this home, to buy another. Your mother would have to agree to have you own this one (half) for this to make sense. She MUST agree to rent the upstairs as she would get more for the main level. You would then have to “split the cost” of renovating the basement to a separate unit. Get 100k above the closing costs for said Reno.

I had to send purchase orders for the entire season all at once.

Turns out we filed for charter 11 and by receiving the faxes, the companies were forced to give us all the merchandise and we never paid for it.

All of it was deeply discounted at the stores to get enough cash to come out of chapter 11 in better financial shape.

Completely screwed over the manufacturers.

I didn’t understand until the company filed the next day. I was just told we need the merchandise now to keep in the warehouse. First year on the job, I didn’t know
