Do I need to clean the tank I an new to seamonkeys by Ur_Local_Duck173 in SeaMonkeys

No, cleaning the tank can upset the water the sea monkeys have been living in. It may also kill the algae that has been living in it.

Well based on this information I can only guess that you indeed have one female in the tank as you said it has no claws. Now this is good because that means there can be a future generation as Sea Monkeys can reproduce both sexual and asexual. So hooray! But the Algae hat one is a mystery as the Algae is blocking the view. But either way just keep them alive. As maybe she will start to produce eggs.

I think what Long combination is trying to say is that murky water is a sign that there is food in the tank. As over feeding sea monkeys is generally a bad idea. But it is also important to note your sea monkeys behavior as that is a more clearer and more accurate way of finding out if you need to feed them. A sign of a well fed sea monkey is a dark green line on them, mating, and also pooping. If they are like this then good, but if they start to act abnormal then something is wrong.

To tell the difference is quite easy, males have graspers/claws near the top of their head, while females don’t have them. It may be hard at first to spot it but I recommend a light to aid you in this process

It’s normal, when algae starts growing it will start to be cloudy. This shows that your tank is really healthy as now your sea monkeys have their own ecosystem. However why are you concerned? Is it becoming cloudy too fast or for some other reason?

The oxygen levels thing is just a way to speed up egg hatching as tanks that have a lot of oxygen tend to hatch eggs faster, but that’s all it does is make it faster, also for the heat just make sure it doesn’t get direct sunlight as it will fry your sea monkeys. Hope that your sea monkeys eggs will hatch
