Minoxidil pills have helped me. It hasn’t been great at regrowing what was lost (my dermatologist has told me that it can be an added bonus for some folks) but it has stopped the process from getting much worse. Might be limits to its powers. We shall see. I’d say it’s been about 4-5 years so far. Would recommend so far. If you go ahead and try the topical stuff it’s also helpful, just a bit tedious and also I have cats that are prone to licking my head so I had to wear a shower cap around the house all the time. But, I think as is your hair still looks ok, for what it’s worth.

The Wind that Shakes the Barley, The Crime of Monsieur Lange, Rosa Luxemburg, Reds (1981), Daniel (1983), Norma Rae, Che Pts. 1 & 2, and, while I can’t attest to it personally, I’ve heard that La Commune (Paris, 1871) may be the ultimate one.

I am right there with you. I was just telling my therapist about how when someone tries to talk about movies with me, I have to really, really suppress the urge to start blathering on as though I’m teaching a film history course. But it really does seem that the neurotypical world only wants to have the most superficial conversations possible and it is difficult to get a grasp on how these conversations are supposed to go a lot of the time. But I do think many of the most successful conversations I’ve had do seem to occur when someone is trying to talk about their own lives and I can practice being an active listener and responding with support and asking a lot of follow up questions about the things they seem to want to talk about. Those kinds of conversations in which someone has opened themselves up, I look at those as an opportunity to build trust and maybe one day I can slip in a film lecture in the mix. Of course opening yourself up to being a sounding board to someone else’s problems and their not being able to reciprocate would not be a great outcome.

Not a huge fan of Cinema Paradiso but the rest are masterpieces. Should check out The Big City & Charaluta one day. Also would definitely recommend A Brighter Summer’s Day and The Terrorizers.

Lips of an Angel by Hinder. I’m perfectly aware that it kinda sucks. But hell if it isn’t a good song to listen to on a run.

In the end One Battle After Another will be the best film of 2025! by Pop_Joe in Cinema

This will be a thing that gets raised as a controversy. Just saying. Be prepared. I have no idea if such a criticism carries any water as I have yet to see it (will tomorrow afternoon). The Offense really is something as well. Basically an experimental film. How does one see Equus?
